I haven''t posted in a while because I''ve been busy getting ENGAGED! Two weeks ago I received the most beautiful ring from the greatest guy in the world. It''s a Mark Morrell 1.14 H SI1 RB platinum solitaire with teeny heart-shaped prongs.

Mark''s platinum hearthrob ring. Their a pix with the ring and the band together on there too. BTW -- Cooper Jewelers in Woburn, Mass. is an amazing family-owned jeweler. Great service and decent prices. We recommend them highly.
I''ll try to post pictures of it on my hand as soon as I can figure out how. Til then, thanks to all of you for an intensive summer course in the importance of cut! You were all so nice, so helpful, and so patient!

Congratulations!!!! Where are the pictures of THE ring???

Hi Antiquediamond,

Did you ever post a picture of your ring on your hand? I love how it looks in the pictures, but would love to see it on an actual hand to get a feel for how high it sits, how wide the band is, etc. I absolutely love the prongs, but don't know whether it will sit together with my anniversary band or not... Also, the pictures on-line make everything seem so huge, I'm sure it's much daintier than I'm imagining it....

Also, do you find that it stays upright, or does it tend to spin? It looks like there's quite a bit of weight on the bottom of the ring, and I'm wondering whether that weight helps keep the diamond upright....

So many questions, huh?
I would love to see it on, if you have the time.

Thanks!

Kris

Kris - I needed a break from the Red Sox game and I saw your message. I haven't been able to take any pictures because our digital camera is not working right now. As soon as I do, I'll post them. Thanks for the compliments! To answer your ?s...
I don't know if it would sit together w/ an anniv. band. The wedding ring I plan to get is the one that goes w/ it and it has a groove in it to sit the ring in. It's gorgeous together. You can see the whole package on designers, mark morrell under
www.cooperjewelers.com.
the picture is small though and really doesn't do it justice.
It stays put very well; It's really heavy to hold, but incredibly comfortable and light on my hand. Mark Morrell's jewelry is incredibly smooth, just like it looks on the screen. Oh, and the one you've seen on the screen is well over 2C!! Mine's not quite that! It's a 1.14, and it looks huge -- people have asked me if it is in fact 2 carats.
I noticed you live in Framingham. I'm from Mass. as well. Mark Morrell is located in Concord and Cooper Jewelers (where my fiance got my ring) is in Woburn. There a very nice family-owned jeweler and we recommend them highly.
Can you tell that I really love my ring?

Thanks for the info! I actually have been to Cooper's Jewelry in the Woburn mall twice. Very nice staff. In fact, I was there the day after your fiancee picked up the Heart-throb ring. I remembered seeing a poster of it before, and noticed that the poster was gone, and they told me that the ring had sold the day before and the buyer had asked for the poster, too. It was only then that I'd realized that the ring *had* been in the shop the last time I was there. I did get to see (and hold) the matching wedding ring, and I was really impressed with the weight of it.

I wonder if Mark has pictures of it on a finger? I don't imagine that he actually has any in his office, does he? I would love to see both that and Blackpearl's ring "on." In the end, I will probably just go forward with the Heartthrob, I love the pictures so much, I can't imagine that it will be anything less than perfect on, as well.

Thanks for your reply. My DH is watching the game in the other room. I check in on the score when I hear him getting a little loud -- that's about as much as I can handle (no fingernails to bite).

Congratulations again on your engagement. Enjoy that beautiful ring! :-)

Kris
