I''m usually extremely positive, but there is one big part of my life that could use a lot of work in this regard: my father.

SO, here''s my positive contribution to this thread:
I am grateful for my father''s health, and that he is determined to be a part of my life. I will remind myself of this every time I start to feel some resentment toward him bubbling up. I feel especially bad about not taking advantage of this opportunity to have a good relationship with my dad because my husband''s mom died unexpectedly when she was only 59.

Great thread, Deco.

Andi--Your furbabies are so adorable! Here''s to their prolonged health and well being!

I''m not going to complain about my job.

Instead I''m going to say that I am grateful to be employed when so many other''s aren''t and know that as the economy improves other oppportunites, both for me and for others, will open up.

I''m also not going to complain about my insomnia

It is nice to have so MUCH time to read.

Dandi...pics of pups laying on their side in the sleep position are the BEST ever.

My anti-complaint for the day: I''m grateful that I only have 1.75 weeks left of work before maternity leave. (I won''t think about what happens after that !!)

I am feeling very positive today as we just got great news about our baby''s health! I try to also write down the things that I am grateful for when I''m feeling down...I usually realize I have so much to feel positive about, the negative goes away pretty quickly!

I''m enjoying hearing all the POSITIVE scoop! (And craving Star Crunches -- but that''s from another thread

She is 3.2 kilos of pure joy. Here she is with her gorgeous sister (Bubbles is on the left), tuckered out after a big Christmas Day... on ''their'' couch

Hugs & kisses to Bubbles and sis!

You know, I used to hate January and February and would be slightly depressed until spring showed up. But now I kind of like the nothingness of winter post-holidays. There are no expectations, no big events that I need to prepare for, no bathing suit type issues to worry about, no pressure at all.

Now I take pleasure in it being cold in the mornings- I love jumping into my car, blasting the heater and going through the drive through at Starbucks.

I love layering and sweaters and Ugg boots.

I love all of the good (and wonderfully bad) TV that is about to start: Chuck, LOST!, 24, even The Bachelor and American Idol.

I love the comfort food of winter- chicken pot pies, meatloaf, soups. I love hot tea in late afternoon.

Nothing is expected of me except to get through the day (well, I guess I do have to work) and go home and put on my sweats and watch bad TV and hang out with my son.

It''s not nice out so I don''t feel the need to go outside, go for a walk, be productive, etc. I just have to survive for two months.

So funny how what used to be my least favorite time of year has become one of the coziest.

Thankyou for the kind words Haven, Mara and Deco, the little monkies make us so happy!!
