So I had a change of heart. I reviewed some diamonds last night with my girlfriend and we decided we can see the J tint. Not acceptable in a purchase of this magnitude. So we have decided that "i" is the critical threshold for our vision.

BEHOLD the best of James Allen eye-clean i color diamonds at approximately 1.25cts.

I like 231141 as long as the fluoro isn't that rare uggo producer. :nono: 7mm spread, likely eye-clean, some blue fluoro to make it appear whiter. Looks like a winner pending gemologist review.

Thoughts, reviews, heckles? Thanks for your help to get here. I think these are three great choices.

Oh and if you're disappointed that there aren't photos/videos, the links are a more effective way of posting these things, I think.

PLEASE provide opinions and scoldings where necessary!

Re: The Glorious Three! Diamond **** enclosed...

I also like the 1.31...When you're comparing pretty close stones, I'd always say go for the biggest.

Re: The Glorious Three! Diamond **** enclosed...

And the 1.31 has strong fluor! Bonus!

Re: The Glorious Three! Diamond **** enclosed...

All the three diamonds look good to go. However, you need to make sure that the SI1 clarity does not have inclusions visible to the naked eyes(You can check that with the Gemologist there). The option 2 is good if the fluorescence does not affect the diamond and provided its priced few hundred dollars less.
However, it is always safe to go for a diamond with faint or none fluorescence.

You can check at few diamond blueprints from B2C Jewels.

Re: The Glorious Three! Diamond **** enclosed...

I like #2, the biggest.

Re: The Glorious Three! Diamond **** enclosed...

Another vote for the 1.31ct (#2) -- so lucky to get the fluoro too!!

Re: The Glorious Three! Diamond **** enclosed...

So the real question is the 1.31 ct stone the good or bad fluoro... Anyone had real experience w bad fluoro or had a diamond with fluoro and found it to be less brilliant?

Re: The Glorious Three! Diamond **** enclosed...

In the 4+ years I've been on here I only remember one stone that the fluorescence had a bad
affect on. It turned a hazy almost blue color. I think the odds are in your favor.

Re: The Glorious Three! Diamond **** enclosed...

The 1.31ct has black inclusions despite its VS2 clarity rating vs the other two that have predominantly clear/white inclusions. Do you think the one we're discussing is actually eye clean? I was assuming most VS2s are eye clean...

Thanks for your input.

Re: The Glorious Three! Diamond **** enclosed...

Bump :saint:

Re: The Glorious Three! Diamond **** enclosed...

The VS2 should be 100% eye clean however, you can check with the Gemologist there.

You need to ask the gemologist!!!!! We don't have the stone so there's NO way for us to verify anything for you. Also, keep in mind the pictures and videos are extremely zoomed in. A VS2 is almost always eye clean, but again, verify with the gemologist!!

Re: The Glorious Three! Diamond **** enclosed...

#2 looks like the winner.

I love the 1.31 and think the fluoro is a good thing for I color! Strong blue is rarely a problem unless it has a lot of inclusions, and a VS2 will not. So I would consider it a safe buy, but you always have a return period if on the slight change it had a problem (of any kind).

The left side of 231141 does look a bit hazy/dull. Hopefully photograph-related and not in the actual diamond. Excited to see the gemologist report and idealscopes!

Re: The Glorious Three! Diamond **** enclosed...

I guess that hazy look is due to the photography effect. You may go for it and in case you do not like it, you still have the return policy.

Re: The Glorious Three! Diamond **** enclosed...

I've noticed with JA's photos and videos that it doesn't look like the stones are always clean. May be just fingerprints / dirt / smudges.

Re: The Glorious Three! Diamond **** enclosed...

If you look at the left side, all three actually look a little washed-out. It must be glare from tangential lighting (hopefully). Gemologist report probably won't come in until next Mon. Not sure why I'm so invested in this purchase... at this point she'll love it no matter what, but I want it to be "just right".

Re: The Glorious Three! Diamond **** enclosed...

:nono:

James Allen can't locate the 1.31ct stone from their "partner". Not happy.

Hopefully this resolves itself tomorrow. I would think that advertising a stone that is not actually available is bad business.

Maybe I'm just frustrated at this point. Other than this, James Allen has been incredible...

Will update tomorrow. Still plan to post up the idealscopes as they become available.

Re: The Glorious Three! Diamond **** enclosed...

No opinions?

Re: The Glorious Three! Diamond **** enclosed...

That is a "very good" cut diamond for 1000 dollars more... :?:

Here is the gemologist review:

"I am happy to tell you that the gemologist found all three diamonds to be very lively options. All have an excellent amount of brilliance (white light return), with a great amount of fire (dispersion of color) and sparkle that is well balanced and symmetrical. All three are also completely "eye clean" and face up a nice white color. The 1.31 carat is the largest diamond, but again there is a very, very slight light blue tint to it under sunlight."

Thanks to everyone through their help throughout this process!! :sun: :appl:

Re: The Glorious Three! Diamond **** enclosed...

Time sensitive. :!: Appreciate your guys' input! The VS2 inclusion on the 1.31ctw diamond does show up on the idealscope. However, gemologist stated it was eye clean...

Re: The Glorious Three! Diamond **** enclosed...

Apologies, but BUMP. :wavey:
