Umm, I would so love to partake in this, but the closest book is a trashy romance novel and the 5th sentence on that page is of a sexual nature. I'm probably red in the face at this very moment. Can I cheat and find the next closest book?

hahaha Definetly sounds as if it's one of those "can't wait to get this overwith" moments (eta - even though I take it that was not the author's intention?. . .just read the review on Amazon.)

Pennquaker,

I woke up the day after your post, read it- my jaw literally dropped and I fell over laughing.

I don''t even dare attach the quote! LOL

ah, hem, to get back to the subject at hand.. since there are always five or six books within arms length being read, re- read or scanned for favorite passages.
.
"Alfonso of Aragon, who prognosticated Catherine''s future bliss with Arthur. Next at the beginning of Cheapside, was the Pageant of the Sun"

Six Wives, the Queens of Henry VIII, David Starkey

Penn~ I can''t believe that''s actually in print in a book let alone PS!!

Wow, that author sure sounds like s/he enjoys her/his job, huh??

"But he wouldn't say anything, wouldn't let Jim over the door."

Ian Rankin writing as Jack Harvey - 'Blood Hunt'

i don't really know what it means to 'not let someone over a door'...

i think i prefer pennquaker's book.

mind you, the book next to this was the Diagnostic and Statistical Manuel of Mental Disorders, so things could have been worse...

whitby, I think we were all speechless for a day or two with Penn''s book!
