What are your favourite free, or nearly free things in life?

Some of mine: walking in good weather, a bubble bath with a library book, looking at bling pictures (free until it isn’t, haha!)

Talking to a friend, baking, catching a sunrise or sunset.

Sometimes a museum or art gallery is free or nearly free and that is quite nice.

Playing with, taking photos of, and organizing my jewelry.

Spending time with my kids and grandkids, going out to dinner with hubby, swimming, Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons, beach time with the family, nice nap, good book, time with my little Tessa (Yorkie), and first morning coffee. I always enjoy my time and chats with good friends, I love some murder mystery shows too and always love a good movie! I actually enjoy cleaning my house and cooking a good meal and always admiring beautiful diamonds!

I have follow up questions:

What colour is your Yorkie
Do you drink coffee black
What’s the last good movie you saw
Do you have a go-to fave meal to make when guests are coming over?

Tessa pic attached after grooming (sorry it posted twice!)
Coffee with a bit of cream and bit of sugar
Last good movie I saw was Where the Crawdads Sing (isn’t the last one I saw but it is the last good movie)
Last big meal I cooked for guests was prime rib, mushrooms and onions in wine, potatoes and salad

Yum that dinner sounds amazing and Tessa is the cutest!!!

I haven’t watched the movie- I was worried it would be depressing

Thanks! I read the book and enjoyed the movie. It was different and while it had depressing parts it wasn’t a complete downer.

The aromatic smell of freshly cut grass.

The smell of cinnamon buns and other sweet treats being made from the bakery near where I live.

The fresh air after a thunderstorm.

The spectacular light show that is a thunderstorm.

Cuddles from my pets.

Just a few that I can think of so far.

DK :))

-Sunsets
-Pretty flowers in my backyard
-Observing birds and insects doing their
thing
-Hugs from DH
-Kitty kisses and head bumps

Watching the fireworks with my eight year old.

Thinking.

Wandering around our property finding another new type of wildflower I hadn't seen before, walking through looking at all of the flowers I have seen before, sitting outside with a gentle breeze watching the bald eagles flying overhead, watching the sunrise light the mountain in the backyard, listening to the creek as the snow melts off the mountains, watching our ducks swim in their pool, sitting on the porch with a cup of tea, reading a book in the shade outside, looking at the stars, watching the swallowtail butterflies, snuggling our animals, watching the birds eat cherries (mixed feelings as I would like some for us too!), and so much more!

Being with the love of my life, my DH.
Anything we do brings me joy if we are together

Cycling by the sea

Walking on the beach

Hiking in the woods

Listening to my favorite songs/playlists

Enjoying our view from the backyard especially sunrises and sunsets

Snuggling with our kitties

Talking with a good friend

Listening to the rain

Taking photos of the beauty all around us

Not all of this is technically free but close enough :)

I love working with beautiful flowers for my Church. This arrange is one I created for a wedding this weekend, and my flower guild friend was creating an identical one on the other side of the altar.

I also love sitting on our patio and watching our bird friends feed and bathe in the bird bath. And the view of my flower garden also fills me with gratitude. DH is there now. I am grateful for his love.

+1

Photographing my jewels gives me joy and contentment. It makes me appreciate and want what I already have. Also teaches me the correlation of light and gems.

Enjoying the sky whenever possible, cloud, moon, dawn, dusk, and so much more.

Birding with basic gear. Doesn’t require fancy equipment to enjoy wildlife.

Catching up with my daughter and my old friends
sitting on my deck in the morning with my coffee watching the birds
Seeing the flowers in my garden bloom
Finding new to me types of wild flowers while walking my dog
cooking a good meal (assuming that is still free though you pay for the ingredients)
Actually finishing a project that has been on "my list"
planning travel (before I buy) =)2

-Coffee and quiet time in the morning
-Hiking with my hiking group to beautiful beachside trails
-yummy food I make, that comes out perfect, and enjoyed by all
-family time with my college-aged kids and seeing everyone having a good time

Being with my husband.

Cuddling with our furbaby.

Spending time with my our families and watching my nieces with the their own families now.

Knowing the people I love are healthy and happy and if someone isn’t, knowing we will get thru it together.

Talking with my friends, meeting with a friend for coffee, lunch or dinner.

Hearing my little nieces and nephews giggling and doing fun things with them.

Feeling grateful for my life and the people in it.

Watching people be kind to one another.

@MissGotRocks, Tessa is quite the little love! That sweet little face!

Aww, thanks! She is my little shadow and my heart! She will be ten this month.

I like learning new things.

I tend to find many articles and books, online or in the library for free.

I like to listen to my kids running arround giggling. Their favourite places are children's playgrounds in the park.

My kids like TedEd which is free (an off shoot of TedEx based on answering interesting questions). My husband and I sit and solve the riddles with my daughter.

Walking or running and watching the birds or beach is really nice. Sometimes when I run I listen to YouTube. I like the chanel PBS space time, or listening to music.

Truly free: thinking and breathing.

Nearly free: reading books, kicking ass and taking names, getting my hands dirty while planting things like pennyroyal and foxglove, slowly driving away after a “thing” while furiously coughing, et cetera.

If you read any of that, you’re a Daisy. ❤️

Hugging my DH is one of my favorite things to partake in and it is always free :)
