Mara- Did you get to watch the whole thing last night?

UGH, Vienna just acts like she is 15 with her first boyfriend, it''s so annoying.

I think Corrie is pretty cute, but I don''t see a huge attraction between them.

I think the girls are a good judge of character. Vienna is self-centered, bratty, immature, and a fame wh#re. Too bad Jake can't see that. If he ends up picking her, they will last 15 minutes.

Where are you getting all of that from? Other than the fact that her family has money and her dad buys her nice things. She probably has lots of friends that are treted the same way. I have a feeling that is who she is normally. I don''t really get the "fame whore" thing either?

IMO, she hasn''t really done a single thing to any of these girls personally. They just don''t like her.
33.gif

She said 3 weeks ago, that she isn''t there to make friends, she is there to see if she and Jake would "work out". Isn''t that the whole point of the show?

I don''t necessarily think she should win, but I also don''t think that she deserves all the hate that she is getting from the others. Ya know, maybe Ali could be a little more focused on her own relationship with Jake and less on a girl that means nothing to her? Just a thought...

Vienna isn''t saying anything bad about any of these other girls and isn''t bothering to let them get to her, and she is still around. So she must be doing something that he likes.

With all that said, I didn''t like that she asked to get one-on-one time with him last.

lol mere no, i watch it on Tuesday nights, because Greg has rehearsal then, and i have to be alone...or else he makes ''dead brain cell'' comments the whole time.

Ya, I have to tune those out (I attempt to at least)... I read him Blackpaw''s comment last night when he got home, and all he talked about for the rest of the show, was how the "Super Hoe" was going to be the next downfall of our nation

Oh oh!! Are we all married to the same guy????? Na---mine is old!

Ugh I have gotten sucked into this show. Honestly I laugh through the entire thing though. Its a comedy, not a dating show IMO. OMG when he walked out and threw the rose in the campfire I nearly wet my pants I was laughing so hard. Dramatic much? I make SO watch it with me sometimes too haha he is normally super calm and laid back but he gets sooo aggravated when he watches this. It just makes me laugh harder.

Anyway, mere I''m going to respectfully disagree; I do think Vienna has brought this upon herself. To the degree that they are treating her... probably not. But either the producers are doing a great job of editing what she says or she really is a bit immature and selfish. But shes 23! I''m not surprised. Granted that''s about how old I am but my friends also joke that I''m 22 going on 40 cause I''ve always been very mature. I totally know people my age who act just like she does, they just haven''t grown up yet. I don''t think shes intentionally bad natured but she just seems a bit inconsiderate. Idk it would be a HUGE red flag to me if a girl didn''t get along with any of the other girls. I think Allie is leading the pack against her a bit, but even that sweet brunette who got kicked off didn''t like her.

Anyway beyond Vienna.

I agree Corrie is cute but not a whole lot of chemistry.
I like Ali even if she is kind of an alpha female. But I wish she was less of a bully and would stop freaking out about Vienna.
Tenley is cute, I''m glad she got a rose.
Gia is ok... idk she doesn''t thrill me.

Thats my 2 cents for today.

When there are 15 girls in a house and they all get along except for one girl, it''s probably the one girl who is the problem. Not always of course, but in general.

I'm starting to get a very creepy "fake nice" vibe from Jake ... ala Tom Cruise. But what drove me CRAZY about last night was this moment.

Ali: (about Vienna) if THAT's who he likes then he's not going to like me.

NO CHICKADEE ... if THAT's who he likes then YOU DON'T LIKE *HIM*. Has it ever occurred to these girls that THEY might not like HIM??? That instead of waiting around to be "chosen" and ridden on horseback up to a fairy tale castle where they'll be kept like a doll for the rest of their lives THEY SHOULD MAYBE BE PAYING ATTENTION TO *HIS* CHARACTERISTICS. And if he, say, SHOWS YOU HOW HE IS and WHO HE LIKES you should, maybe, LISTEN TO HIM and ACT ACCORDINGLY?
20.gif

And I wanted to LAUGH OUT LOUD when Goblin Green eyeshadow chick is telling him he shouldn't pick Vienna because he doesn't want to "be her bail-out sugar daddy" and I was like "UM, YES HE DOES!!!" Dumb men like that just LOVE to be someone's "hero" -- and he's systematically eliminated anyone who might be a threat/equal to him (other PILOTS? Hello! Only room for one Pilot around here!) He's the very kind of immature stunted dolt who wants some airhead ditz to worship them & "need" him (& his/Daddy's checkbook). He wants the kind of adoration only a schoolgirl type can give him. But he's ultimately shortsighted because those schoolgirls are (heh) FICKLE and they'll leave him in a flat minute -- scratching his flat TOP hair wondering why she changed her mind. NEWSFLASH: those baby girls don't know themselves and can't predict with any degree of certainty HOW they'll feel next *week*, much less SIXTY YEARS. Good luck with that JakeyPoo.

I'm not saying she didn't piss people off after her first date, but at this point, I feel like it is a personal vendetta. Ya know? Like if any of the girls had accepted her apology, which she did give, they would be put on the outside of the "inner circle" as well.

Also, in regards to last night, wouldn't you think that as a girl that is trying to convince Jake that Vienna isn't right for him, would have a better answer for "Why isn't she right for me?" than, "She talks about how many cars she has crashed, and that her Dad buys her new ones."

Sounds like jealousy.

Deco- I am still hoping that at least one or two people will go up to the Bachelor and Bachelorette at some point and say, "You know, I have had a great time, but I really don't think that YOU are right for me."

I think I remember one girl from a season a while ago making a comment about how she just didn''t click with him... no idea who or what season but I just remember thinking: thank you for actually considering that!

This show just cracks me up. My SO''s and my two favorite things are:
1) The "Oh he is so thoughtful to take me on this date" lines... do you REALLY think it was his idea... I doubt it. Maybe you should marry the producers.
and 2) How ridiculously strong they believe their feelings for him are after spending what probably doesn''t add up to more than 48 hours with him... I wasn''t even sure I LIKED my FF after 48 hours much less professing my love for him...

Have any of you seen any of the tv interviews with Jake recently?

I caught him on a few, but the one with Bonnie Hunt stuck with me. He seems a lot more real in these interviews, not nearly as cheesy, but still genuinely a nice guy for the most part. But during the Bonnie Hunt interview, she also brought up that he used to be an "ACTOR" and that really seemed to clear some clouds for me...he is definitely acting up the drama on the show. Makes me wonder what his real reasons for going on the show are...But deep down I still hope he''s a nice guy who finds a nice girl. I liked that he sent people home that he didn''t have a connection with.

I agree with wishing some of the contestants would focus more on if they like HIM rather than trying to make him like them!

Sabine--That''s really interesting that Jake used to be an actor. Hmmm . . .

I agree with everyone that Ali has really shown her true colors. She seems like that high school bully who is so insecure that she needs to travel with a pack of little followers who will "yea-yea-yea" her every word. I hope she''s humble enough while watching the show to realize that she behaved in an ugly manner, and to perhaps, adjust herself a bit.

I''m with Mere re: Vienna. I definitely see how Vienna could rub people the wrong way, but they haven''t shown her doing anything to the girls that merits the kind of bullying that she''s getting. My guess is that the girls who are lashing out the most are just insecure, and they sense that Vienna has some kind of connection with Jake that is threatening to them.

Overall, this show is hilarious. The dramatic music, Jake refusing to hand out all the roses, some of the cattiest girls on the planet. I love it! I do like Jake, despite his gee-golly-shucks demeanor, and I hope he finds himself some love. But I have to admit, this show is so fun to watch because I end up laughing myself to tears every ten minutes because of all the staged drama.

Don''t you mean the instrumental version of "on the wings of love" that plays everytime he has a romantic moment with a girl!?

I do love this show for the specific reason that it makes me laugh out loud at how ridiculous it is.

Yes, Blair! DH stomps around the house every night wailing "on the wings of looOOOOOOVVVVVVE!"
20.gif

It''s hilarious. I like to witness the way reality shows devolve into worse and worse junk over time.

lol that's why i only watch when greg is gone.
3.gif

and re: vienna. sure she's vapid but i don't see her as a rude bitch like some of the other chicks (ali). total group mentality. just because 15 people in the house all can go along with ganging up on someone doesn't mean she's devil incarnate. personally i think some of the gals are just glad to have the mean girls focus elsewhere so they just are mum.

i want to see her flip out and a fur-flying catfight, that'd be way more fun.

Are we watching? I''ve got it DVR''d so I''m a good 45 minutes behind...They have just gotten to the castle in Napa...What are we thinking?

I do like Ally but I cannot believe the way she acted when she thought she was going on a double date with Vienna...really? That''s pretty bad...

YUCK! Why am I watching this??? Vienna does not conduct herself like a lady, her lack of class is very off putting. I think the absence of discretion is the trait that bothers the other women, not that they have a personal vendetta against her.

Agreed fsu... but I bet you''ll watch it again next week haha. It looks like reality steve is on track for being right, although idk where he gets his spot on information (don''t look him up if you don''t want a spoiler)

Honestly I don''t really love any of them anymore. Meh I just wants to see how it ends.

Vienna is so odd; I don''t understand what Jake sees in her. My fame wh#re suspicions about her have proven to be somewhat correct. Reality Steve has pictures of Vienna on his website where she is posing topless, and in a skimpy bikini for some sort of photoshoot. I just don''t think her values mesh with Jake''s.

I meant to post last night, but was so tired I went to bed right after the show ended.

Anyhoo, what I wanted to say was that DH & I thought it was hilarious the way that Jake''s face lit up when he found out that Corrie was a virgin. I thought that she would go home for sure (and she did) but after his enthusiastic reaction to her virginity, we thought that she would have a fighting chance. He seems to really like Tenley too, and she has only ever been with one guy - I think the whole virgin thing is a fetish for him.

Also, did anyone else notice that didn''t seem that interested when Ali was talking about her career on their date? It almost seemed to turn him off, and DH noticed the same thing. I asked DH what he thought about that, and he said that Jake seems to be rather old-fashioned, so he may not be that interested in a woman who wants to maintain a career.

Anyway, the show wasn''t nearly as eventful last night - it basically turned out the way I thought it would. I can''t wait for next week''s hometown dates!

Haha I just read that this morning. Tasteless for sure. However, she needs to dye her hair back to brown and those pictures supported that. It looks way better. I cannot stand her bleach blonde dark roots look...

LOL! How funny was that!!!!! He didn't care about a single thing she had to say ALL DAY, and then he lit up like a kid seeing Christmas lights for the first time!!!!

We watched it at Girls' night last night, and we all agreed with Deco's post a few weeks ago... he wants the submissive girl that NEEDS him, and he wants to be the provider. Which also became obvious when he was totally "checking out" of his conversation with Ali, on their date. I kept yelling, "Shut up Ali, you're ruining your chance! You have too many opinions for him!!" lol. I'm so glad that she decided to stop caring about Vienna.

Tenley is definitely the front runner.

I still don't see all the hate regarding Vienna. Though it was a bit annoying that she went "searching" for he and Gia. Kinda odd, but immature, which we have agreed that she can be. Ali's comments were absolutely uncalled for when Corrie played that joke on them. But like I said, I'm glad she has realized what she is really there for, and is going to put all of that crap behind her.
*FWIW, the two girls I watch with. one absolutely hates Vienna as well na dthe other isn't a big fan, but I guess I just feel bad for her. I couldn't stand the girls in high school that had no good reason for not liking other girls, and I hate watching that "HS Gang Mentality". No reason for it. Grow up.

I've lost my train of thought now... pregnancy

ETA: I remember...
Each time he asked one of the girls where they would want to live, they all replied either "Dallas, of course" or "Wherever you are".
20.gif

ETA2: Re: Vienna: I actually thought it was very stand up of her to go back to the room at the castle and tell Gia what actually happened. (ie, how Jake felt it was uncomfortable, etc. Gia seemed to appreciate it when she was telling Jake about it anyway.)

I came on to share my very insightful comments and found that Deco had pretty much gotten there first. NOT that I''m surprised, our Deco is a smart cookie.

Jake wants a girl that worships him and that he can take care of. Simple and obvious. The only one that has a "real" career and is still around is Ali.

Gia- Swimsuit model
Vienna- What does she do?
Tenley- Dance major/college admissions
Ali- Advertising account manager or something.

Don''t flame me for this obvious simplification. Yes being in college admissions is a real job and no it doesn''t mean you are stupid. And yes, if I could be a swimsuit model and get away with it, perhaps I would. Not judging their careers, just saying that an ambitious, career minded women is clearly not what Jake is looking for.

Ali, bitch or not, would eat him alive. She''s not going to move to Texas and sit prettily at home waiting for Jake. Neither is Gia. If these girls met him off the show, neither would give him the time of day.

Which leave Tenley and Vienna.

If literally every girl in the house has said something about Vienna, there''s a reason. They aren''t showing it b/c he probably picks her and therefore they are editing it to look like she was the poor ganged-up on one.

Personally, I can''t find one single nice thing to say about her so I won''t. Jake said he finds her "sexy as hell" which I don''t get, but there you go.

Tenley isn''t my cup of tea, but for his purposes she would be the one I pick.

Have to agree with most of this...I don''t see Jake being Ali and Gia''s type outside of this show either. I like Ali. Gia trys too hard to be cute. I do not understand his attraction to Vienna at all (except maybe opposites attract). Then again I don''t understand their attraction to him either. He seems to have good morals, but it seems phony to me. The line about "heart appeal not sex appeal" ?
20.gif
Tenley seems the most appropriate for him.

if jake is so excited about corrie's untouched maidenhood, then i doubt he'll be too thrilled when he chooses vienna (which we all know he's gonna do)....then finds out about her topless bikini shots!

and the man wonders why he's still single...

this season reminds me of that saying - "hold a man by the b-lls, and his heart and his mind will surely follow."

So who do you all think the drama is about at the end of the next show? The hair looked either brunette or dark blonde, so we are thinking Gia or Tenley...

I haven''t read reality Steve, so I have no idea if this has already been leaked?

I haven''t read RS since the first week. My guess is Ali leaves for some weird reason. But then why is she standing at the rose ceremony when they say there won''t be one???? Hmmmm.
