The Adjective Game: Describe Your Fellow PSers

List the adjectives that come to mind when you think of fellow PSers. I'll start:

SanDiegoLady: wide-eyed, sweet, generous, kind

ladykemma: eccentric (ETA in a creative, quirky way, not in a "scary person" way), strong-willed, loyal, crafty

Rod: stylish, modern, athletic, centered, dapper

diamondfan: classic, commanding, respectable

Kaleigh: positive, generous

DeeJay: modern, active, humorous, fun

ally: wicked smart, funny

deco: humorous, outgoing, fun

These are just a few to start. It will be interesting to see if any of the people being commented on pipe in to agree/disagree with how they've been described.

ETA: The intent of this thread is not to say snarky things about one another. I think it will be interesting, if enough people participate, to see how close the truth about others is compared to perceptions concieved through the website. Obviously some of you are friends and have relationships outside of PS but for many of us who will likely never meet due to distance, etc. this should be fun.

there's obviously a ton more people, but it would take me forever. coming up with these was like a 30 minute exercise, lol.

I think you should kick him in the shins. You definitely have a serious side, but you pull off some one-line zingers on occasion that are pretty amusing, in my humble opinion. Wicked smart is the bigger compliment, though. I once worked in an office and I defined every single one of my co-workers that way. It was the most fun I''ve ever had in an office environment because of the amount of intelligence I was surrounded by. I dig smart people, surround myself with them and try and pretend to fit in!

OK, I'm probably violating ediquet here...

First off: There are a lot of people I really respect on this forum; and I am not so good with coming up with adjetives. Especially since I no longer constantly monitor and participate (I only drop in from time to time - or discuss a specific issue).

So, I will apply a general adjative that fits many here: Great ! You are all so great.


Then there is myself. It does not bother me that I am not on any of the above list.

Between my part time participation - and who I am - I know I am a tough one even for those of you who thougth briefly about me.

So I thought I would share the adjatives that are commonly used to describe me by those who work and play with me. There are three that come up quite common.

Perry: Different, Independent, Amazing

1) Different: I doubt anyone would ever disagree with that one - and I've had more than a few people tell me that they came to understand that I just don't plug into any of the "normal" catagories of people. I was actually the subject once of a class presentation on me as an example of a unique personality (tittled "Concrete Jello") that concludes that I was truely one who marched to the beat of a different drummer.

2) Independent: Some people think I'm too independent; others chear me on...

3) Amazing: Today (Saturday) we did my overall 2006 job performance review at work (which is a formal 21 page long document due to all the stuff that's in it). At the end of the review I was told "you have a unique skill set" when my supervisor was describing my ability to get things done. I'll hold that as the quote of the day (perhaps the week or even month).

But, ask anyone I work with - or any of the plant managment if "amazing" is tied to me and you will get universal acknowledment on the term...


Of course, if anyone can think of any others... Go ahead and post them.

Edited to add (several hours later): You know, was I stupid (or self centered) to post all of that on me or not? I have debated that question off and on - and about deleting it. Now that I get back to the computer and look at it. It fits - so I will leave it. I guess part of being Different, Independent, and Amazing. I just see the world differently than a lot of others.

i''m a bit like perry: hadn''t thought about it and in thinking about it can''t come up with an adjective for individuals. but i can say that this feels like family with all the ups and downs of same: agreements and disagreements, sometimes involved and at others not, etc......but most of all trust that the community is there and will be there whether the issue is bling or more personal.
