So called because at 10mm it would be 8.88mm deep

Looks pretty good dont it?
This is the deepest asscher I have ever designed that looked good face up.

someone should cut this one just too see the looks on peoples faces when they see it.
I wonder what the nice folks at AGS would think if this was sent for grading. LOL
I think its a perfect 10.

ASET white.

Whoa. I don''t really have any idea what I''m looking at, but it looks cool.

strm, it looks like it would be awfully "busy". Is that correct?

not in 3D because the crown facets would be on different levels.

A tolk round of the same weight as this one at 10MM would measure 12.31MM

Nice work though!

Depth at 8.88! OMG that is a deep stone, even for an asscher. Just think of the head you would need to hold it high enough off the ring. I like the wide corners. What are they 23-24%?

24%

The pavilion alone is 6.35MM at 10MM.
The only reason something like this should ever be cut is as a joke lol
If I was rich id have one commissioned at 6mm or so just for the fun of it.
It would be the face up size of a ~1.28ct asscher of more common proportions and weigh 1.47cts

My goal is too someday find a combo that works at 100% depth.

Storm you know we all love you on this site, but your crazy. Lucky for us it''s in the good way that allows the rest of us newbies to learn so much about diamonds. I''m sure you will find a way to make 100% work.

thank you :}

Gee, I thought my 84% radiant was deep! I hadn''t seen ANYTHING yet huh!!

Hmmm, it might be an option for cutting a colored stone if you are trying to maintain darker color...cool images

Really enjoying this!

At first I thought this was a real diamond. I am right. It isn''t is it?

its a virtual diamond designed by me :}

one of my designs was cut however this one should never be unless it was for fun.

I think it would look kinda kewl mounted as a pendant sideways too show the side view with a swivel to change it too a top view but I''m crazy LOL

rofl that is true!

This may be the understatement of the year...but I think that asscher would face up a tad on the small side.

The setting to hold that diamond will have to be so high, it will look like a anthena tower on the finger...

Very cool though!

What software is that?

They would fail it on spread Storm
but if there was a market for it, it can be cut without the need for a lab to tell you it is good.

the secret too this design working face up is that the first 2 pavilion facets are soo steep that they play little part in the light return of the diamond.
As long as the bottom pavilion step is at the proper angle and location in relation to the crown the middle steps are irelevent in this design.

not until you get to around 30 degrees tilt do the other 2 pavilion steps come into play.
