Hello and thanks to all. I am currently looking to purchase a diamond so i can get engaged to my girlfriend. Here are the requirements im looking for below. I am new to this but have done extensive research. Any and all advice will help. If you can find me the best diamond for my dollar or give me advice that would be great. Thank you very much.

I am looking for Brian Gavin Signature Hearts & Arrow Super Ideal Cut Diamond or something of exact quality. From what im understanding most people call this H&A Diamonds ???

My budget is $15k- $19K , i really would like to get the best bang for my buck and buy the best diamond i can buy. Please help.

SIZE

I would like to be in the 1.75ct range but i understand that i may have to sacrifice a little in size depending on the color & clarity.

COLOR

I would like to be G or H but also understand i may be have to sacrifice a little

CLARITY

I would like to be VS1-VS2 , again i understand i may have to sacrifice

Below are a few diamonds i have been looking at. All opinions appreciated. If you see anything better out there or concerns about these please let me know. Thank you very much

This diamond below is the diamond that the people at Brian Gavin say i should consider for the price. They claim that the way the diamond is cut it doesnt trap color. Opinions on this diamond???

the BGD 1.75ct is definitely the best deal ! the clarity looks fine to me and with to me it is eye clean even with the magnified view of the diamond online. the ONLY subjective opinion would be if you both are ok with the I color (should be ok to most people).

i also really like the JA 1.8ct ... great find !!

I think the cut off for safe color is H. I color covers a range that can look more like an H or more like a J. With your budget, I'd stick with H color to be safe. I color can have a tint that is noticeable to other people. (I'll just add that I learned this through experience!) If she has said she likes lower colors, then that is fine. But I would stick with H for a surprise e-ring, personally.
