Your current thread about the Diana/ Kate engagement ring reminded me of a discussion we had in the royal jewels thread a long time ago in which I asked you whether you preferred yellow gold or platinum.
Your answer was that you "would always go for the gold."
I like platinum IRL. I think it's unique and beautiful when it's new but I don't like patina. I was having a difficult time making up my mind between the two.
I just wanted to let you know that I credit you with giving me the inspiration to be true to what I prefer- gold.
Realizing that I prefer gold and giving myself permission to indulge myself in it has erased all of my doubts about my choice.
It feels good to know what I want without any ambivalence or pressure about what I "should" want.
You inspired me with your opinion and with all of your posts about gold jewelry made by so many people throughout history.
