TERRIFYING!!! Lost diamond in 10 month old ring!

OK, so I got my beautiful ring back and am happy as I can be to look down and see it''s beautiful sparkle. The jeweler has been beyond apologetic and gone out of his way to repair the damage. Apparently, I am the first person this has happened to and that is pretty amazing considering his 20 years of creating rings. The diamond was lowered and the bezel was extended a fraction to help hold the diamond in. We are having it appraised this weekend when I get a breather from work. Thanks again for all of your support and advice!
