Links?

I added links to my original post. :)

I suspect the reason is that the melees in X-prong are smaller. For example, for 3ctw, melee size is 5 pt for X-prong, but is 6.5 pt for 3-prong. Larger melees cost a lot more.

In the same example, total number of melees in X-prong is 60, and that in 3-prong is only 47.

Yes, this was my thought too.

Orbaya, you have a good point about the prices for the two bracelets.
Out of curiosity, I checked WF website and found a photo of one 2-ctw 3-prong tennis bracelet. I counted the number of melees to be about 58-60 total. 2ctw divided by 58 means each melee is about 3.5 pt. Thus, here is the comparison.

3ctw, X-prong: $2800, 60x0.05ct

2ctw, 3-prong: $2975, 58(?)x0.035ct (?)

So, 3ctw, X=prong is a much better deal. Less money, bigger melees, and more total carat weights (meaning more diamonds). Perhaps, I should get myself a 3-cwt, X-prong tennis bracelet, too. :naughty:

Orbaya, I clicked on both of these links just to be sure I could see what you're looking, but it's not making sense to me.

The 2 cwt 3-prong is about $1k less than the 3 cwt x-prong; the 3cwt bracelet is the same price in either style.
