Tennis bracelet with a 4 prong rounded setting

I am looking to purchase a tennis bracelet, a small carat size around 5ctw from WF. I am not in the US so our jewellery sizes are more conservative. This would also be a day to day bracelet, I don’t save anything for best!
It will be a custom order and I prefer this first setting, with the rounded stone style as I do not like the straight line style. Whilst googling, I have found a tulip setting the second one. I like an unusual setting but is it really worth it on a bracelet? The tulip setting was from a jewellery findings online store.

I honestly don’t know if it would make a huge difference in the side view of the bracelet. In all honesty, if you can get the setting you want looking at it from the top of the wrist, I would be good with that. However, it is your bracelet and you should get what makes you happy. Ask WF about sourcing one with the tulip setting. I have only ever seen the more traditional setting.
 
I don’t think the tulip setting will be visible on that size bracelet. IMO, i think it shows well on a solitaire ring.

Thank you, I think I could have too many “wants” on the wish list that is not really required.
What do you think of the first, rounded setting?

Thank you, would end up with too much metal? I have a WF ACA that I had set locally into a lotus flower ring setting. I do like a flower theme……

I like it. Is this the one that WF said they could order in for you? I like that the stones look round and that there is separation between the diamonds. Is it comparable in price to their three prong bracelet?

Yes, this is the one they can order in. Looking at the base of the settings they are rounded so a good sign!
The price is comparable, custom is slightly more but not enough to make a difference.
Now do I go for platinum or while gold? My ring is platinum and my earrings and pendant are white gold.
I wonder what the process is like for replating a white gold bracelet? I don’t mind having to do it every few years or so.

I am excited for you! Some have chosen platinum for the no rhodium dipping issue. I like the color of white gold better and wouldn’t mind having a piece re-dipped every so often. White gold is lighter weight too - the bracelets are more comfortable to me the lighter they are. Just personal choice however. Can’t wait to see your bracelet - will they use the ACA diamonds or their top tier melee?

The budget won’t stretch to ACA will just have to be the regular melee :)

I feel that one is too rounded! Very good price though with the 50% off. The quality of the diamonds are lower than WF.
I have gone back to my inspiration photo and and WF video. WF I think it is.
 
Yes, I would never buy this one from Blue Nile but did like the setting.

Can't wait to see your finished bracelet - sure to be stunning!

Were the bracelets with ACA’s a lot more expensive? Never have heard a true estimate of the increase in cost.

I did not even ask. For the size of my bracelet and what I want to spend it didn’t warrant ACA’s. They are F/G and VS which is miles better than what I could get locally, most are SI.
As I purchased over the Thanksgiving weekend I will receive a pair of 1ctw lab grown earrings. My daughter seem to think these can be for her……

Yes, I am sure it will be beautiful! It has been said before that they use very high quality melee even if they are not ACA’s. Can’t wait to see it and hopefully your daughter will share those earrings with you - lol!!

I think I will get some photos, but none yet.
I hope FedEx operates over the weekend! I tracked the flight last time for when my pendant was shipped

I like my bracelet but I don’t feel that it has the real rounded look I was looking for. Could it be due to the size? The video I saw was obviously of a larger carat weight. Mine is 4.76ctw with 63 individual diamonds. Is it the fact that everything gets super enlarged and in real settings it doesn’t translate?
My daughter says it’s absolutely gorgeous and you can see the roundness.
Please let me know your thoughts and opinions.
The base of my settings are square compared to the roundness of the original image, does that make any difference?

It looks like their four prong Timeless bracelet. Not sure if that is what it is, as I thought they were bringing in a new setting for you that was not on their website.
It is beautiful and there is roundness to the diamonds. I think the placement of the prongs makes it look a bit more square than what you had hoped for, and there isn’t a lot of space between the diamonds which would amplify the roundness. However, it is a beautiful bracelet but only you can determine if the look is right for you. Do you love it in spite of the look, or does it just look different to you than what you had imagined? Do you have the video to post of the one you saw? Lots of sparkle though!

If you go to their website, that video looks like the Timeless Four Prong bracelet. I agree with you that it does look different in real life. I don’t think it has anything to do with the size of the diamonds. It looks to be with the setting itself. Might you consider switching for the three prong tennis bracelet?
As a footnote, there was another person a couple of years back that got this same bracelet in a much larger carat weight. She had the same concern as you, and didn’t feel like there was enough space between the diamonds. However. As she wore and enjoyed it for a couple of days, she decided that she loved it. It may grow on you as well - it is a beautiful bracelet!

@Izzy70 To me, the setting of what you received does not look at all like the setting in the video you posted that you said you selected as a custom order. Have you raised this with Whitefish?

I received a photo yesterday and responded straight away commenting that it did not have the rounded look but I did understand that it could be the angle of the photo.
When it arrived today, I looked at it and honestly I am disappointed it has the straight line look to it. I did not rush to wear it and have placed it back in the box.
I will reach out to WF, in the meantime I wanted advice from more experienced members.
Maybe with this size of bracelet you don’t get the rounded look?

Yes, the custom order video does look just like the Timeless bracelet video, they both have the rounded look to them. I have spent too much time this afternoon comparing them!
I think I did read the other thread and will see if I can re read it again now.

I honestly don’t think it is the size of the bracelet. I think first and foremost is the lack of space between the diamonds so that their circular shape is more apparent. If you look at this bracelet vs the three prong bracelet, yours uses more diamonds meaning that they are smaller and spaced closer together. I honestly thought from reading your first post that they were bringing in a different setting just for you. I think the video is misleading compared to the reality. Doesn’t mean I wouldn’t wear it but I understand your misgivings. Give Whiteflash a shout as they are wonderful about customer service!
