Hi There

I will be travelling to New York from Australia in December and while there, I am wanting to purchase a diamond tennis bracelet.

I won't have time to have one made so will need to buy off the shelf. I am thinking maybe 4-5ct. I'm not sure as I haven't done too much research but I want to spend around $5k - maybe I am way out of the ballpark

Can anyone point me to the best place to start looking? I was thinking the NY Diamond District but am also heading to LA and San Francisco so can probably look there, although I will have the bulk of my time to look in NYC so it would be preferable to buy from there. More time to consider.

Anyway, would love some direction here as I have no idea where to shop in the US!

Thanks.

I would say buy online from whiteflash.

If you use yekutiel, tell him you want pricescope quality diamonds. (Or whatever is in your budget).

Got mine from ID Jewelry in June - lovely!!

I would suggest you reach out to Yekutiel at ID Jewelry in New York. He can assist you with finding the bracelet you want. Good luck to you..

+1 for calling ID jewelry. I got my tennis bracelet from there and love it. I would however reach out to them before you travel to let them know you are coming. Then they can put aside the nice ones in your price range. Tami (owners wife) is quite responsive on instagram, or call the office and speak with Yekutiel only, he really is the best.
Enjoy your trip, and show us pic when you get home :wink2:

I bought from Leslie at BGD a few years ago. I am sure if you contract them it could be arranged to be shipped to you in NY, LA or wherever you are going to be staying.

I would suggest having Wink make one for you as he did for me back in 2004. The bracelet made of .33s, is hand assembled, has the safety of four prongs but with the look of 3 prongs so that the girdle outlines are nicely seen. I have worn this bracelet nonstop for 13 years now. Then in 2014 he made the same bracelet for me using Fancy Intense Yellow diamonds (.20s).

These two bracelets look amazing together! The white stones really set off the colour of intense yellows. Beautiful!
Thank you for the kind words. I recently got an estimate to have a new one made of all .50s CBIs, but it was cost prohibitive, and then went to plan B and bought a 2.79 F-VS1 CBI instead. If you can look at his bracelets up close, you can really appreciated the craftsmanship that goes into hand assembling each one.

Absolutely breathtaking!!

Thank you for your kind words.

I know that @Wink can make these with different quality diamonds as well as different sizes. Also available are white metals versus gold metals. You could order one for yourself.

Back in 2004, I was new to PS and talked with Brian Gavin at Whiteflash and Wink, not knowing who either of them were. Well Brian never got back to me with a quote, so Wink got the job. That was the beginning of a 13 year relationship built on trust.

Thanks so much everyone.

I will definitely look at the options above. cflutist, your bracelets are stunning

Also, can someone tell me where @Wink works?

I'm not sure which jeweller he is at?

Thanks.

I could order one for myself :P2. That will have to wait and get in line with the other 'projects' I have in mind :lol-2:. But seriously, your bracelets are stunning and I love the way he did the prongs.

I spoke to Wink on the phone once (he won't remember) and he was extremely kind and personable. Trust is an important part of repeat business and it doesn't appear Wink has disappointed you over the years!

Actually, I do remember.

I have a vague memory that among other things, we talked about your beautiful dog in your avatar.

You were fun to talk with, which is why I remember. Please feel free to call again any time.
