Tennis Bracelet, 3 or 4 Prong?

Hi Everyone. I'm new here. I'm looking into purchasing a 3 or 4 carat tennis bracelet. It's going to be my anniversary present from my hubby. I know that I want white-gold and I'm going to be contacting ID Jewelers (seeing that a few of you have purchased from them). What do you guys recommended, 3 or 4 prong? I have a smaller wrist and want to wear it everyday. I see that many of you have the 3 prong, is there a reason not many 4 prongs owners out there? Also, does the bracelet get caught on your clothes? I would like a VS1, color f-g, but might only be able to afford, SI1, color f-g. Thanks, and can't wait to hear your responses.

Mine is 4 prong and I prefer it (and my bracelet is 4 cts.). I just think 4 prongs is safer than three and I like an even number! But by all means get what you like best! You could always go to F VS2 for the diamonds. I think that is a good compromise!

Hi Sandy! I purchased my 3ct 3-prong bracelet from IDJ, and their F-G SI diamonds are really beautiful, and totally eye clean (I have inspected it very closely! ). Of course for you it needs to be mind clean as well as eye clean. I like the 3 prong because it is delicate with lkess metal showing, and a little bit 'unexpected' I guess, for want of a better word. I do love 4 prong ones too.

DS, I couldn't resist ferreting through your posts for a pic of your bracelet. WOW! It is truly spectacular!!!!!

Mine is a 5ct with 4-prongs - no problems with catching on anything etc. Just a personal preference.

Hi Ladies,
Thank you for all of your replies and pics! I'm kind of leaning toward the 4 prong. I've always wanted a tennis bracelet for as long as I can remember.
I want to be sure, so I will do a little more research. I'll post pics when I get it. I'm hoping within the next month.
