Temporary Settings

Is it safe to wear these things around without fear of the diamond falling out? I received my upgrade stone today from GOG and it''sd in a temp setting. I would like to wear it out and about until my new setting arrives, but I am uncertain if the setting is secure enough.

are you talking about a stone holder? if yes, than no. I wouldn''t just wear it out and about like a normal ring. If it''s in a 4 or 6 prong setting that looks just like a regular ring, then that would be fine.

Thanks, MrsSalvo! Yeah, it's the 4 prong ring holder. Darn, I was hoping to wear it out in different lighting until my new setting arrives! The new setting won't be ready for another few weeks. Guess I'll have to just wear it occasionally around the house...
