I want to know your favorite settings - particularly for a shape other than the one you have.

I never have been a RB girl but that might be changing... You people on pricescope are dangerous.

I might go for a RB next time, and if I do -- Tacori 2620 hands down.

Princess cut - Vatche x-prong

Emerald cut - Henry Winston basket head with baguette side stones

Pear - whatever setting Amethyste''s is set in

(it''s changing)

Marquis - I think these are the toughest shapes to work with; no idea!

Octavia - tension setting due to its amazing depth

Asscher - bezel set or set with trapezoid sides

Too hard to pick only one!

For comfortable daily wear, I like a simplistic semi-bezel setting that will protect the girdle. I think almost any shape looks great in a setting like that.

I love the Swan 3-stone pave, Ames'' ring, wide diamond bands with lots of twinkling little diamonds, antique halo settings...picking a favorite is just not possible. Rings are wearable art!

hope to someday get (on my anniversary wishlist)For an Asscher: Double claw prongs with bullets on the side.

Princess: Chevron prongs (trellis) or tension set mountings, as well as Kite position
Marquis : E/W setting
Cushion (square): Double claw prongs

My setting but with a princess cut! Now that I''ve had my setting for a while and do love it with a RB, I really think it needs a princess cut! Someday

For an emerald cut- Tacori-eirng setting and iloveny''s. Both are the perfect settings for an EC!

For a round, both my setting and the Cartier solitaire (or WF''s Fine Line copy) are my ideal RB setting.

My fave solitaire setting for a RB is Vatch Royal Crown.
