Tell me about these watermelon tourmaline beads

First, I know they’re cheaper beads. Even good watermelon tourmaline beads aren’t so much and these are quite opaque. I really actually like it for my project but the colors are so rich I’m starting to wonder if it’s synthetic

For the record it was sold as natural watermelon tourmaline

I am not an expert, however, they look real and not synthetic to me.

These do not look like watermelon tourmaline, but crackle-dyed quartz.

Is that real tourmaline? It looks good.
 
I’m sorry but these are NOT real tourmaline. You can see the severe crazing and the dye pooling in the cracks. These are absolutely dyed, and unlikely tourmaline at all.
