Seller says this is top colour. I am somehow, don't know why, not feeling it.

I can't put my finger on it.

Or maybe I am picky. I just don't feel it with this one.

I thank you in advance for your advice and opinions. I would love a best top grade tanzanite. I am not very good at colour but I am also picky and that fine fine difference in quality for any gem can bug me at times.

Lapigems has some crazy ones but their prices are crazy too. :(

Lovely blue but much too dark for me. Cut is also sorely lacking, making it look dull and lifeless.

You think it is the cut? Yes, maybe it is the cut making it like this. So hard to buy online.

That's what I was asking. But seller says no extinction....I don't know.

But chrono, thank you. You are as picky as I am, but with all the knowledge, so your opinions always matter.

If that is the seller's idea of 'top color' and 'no extinction' find another seller.

Oh, do you know of any other seller? Thank you.

Seller says:

The photos were taken under daylight and balanced lighting with a temperature of 5000 Kelvin. I think these photos represent the gems accurately.

The I refers to the seller. The seller thinks these photos represent the gems accurately.

I am not in the trade so I have no recommendations. But look around the PS color gem forum as folks talk about their stones and vendors.

The stone looks very dark, with maybe some half-half extinction going on. On my screen, the colour looks very bluish, whereas the tanzanite I've seen seem to be a more purplish blue.
