Talk about Precision Faceting (Precision Gem Star Amethyst)

Hello Everyone

Managed to pick this up from Gene's last drop - including his image too (hope that's ok), it's a great shot.

Just wanted to post a couple pictures showing off the amazing facets, precision, and star work. Cannot imagine how much time this must have taken, and wanted to show another perspective.

Couldn't pass up adding these to the board, and have been (mostly) silently enjoying everyone else's beauties and baubles!

Straight from the camera, no edits - beyond crop/resizing. Thank you Gene for this beauty!

I love these really fancy cuts. Richard Homer's snowflake also comes to mind. What are the stats on this one?

I haven't ventured into fancy cuts, but maybe I need to! Whoa.

Freke - The fantasy cuts are really something else, got to see one of those Snowflakes, wow.

Sorry about the stats, little bit rusty. Bolivian - 7.17 carats, 12.33mm. Very true words in Gene's description, the Star is stronger in person.

Sparkilies: I'd recommend them for something different.

Thank you! I have a feeling John's site will be my "work" for the afternoon. I like the "stellar" cut Aquamarine on Gemfix's site. That's pretty. Oh, and that topaz ...
