I finally took in my Mom's 2.3ct Tiffany to be sized today after having it in vault for two years. I posted on another thread about my inherited pieces and what to do with them and decided to have one set sized and see if I ever wear it.
I would like an opinion my experience there.
First: They charged 100+ per ring to size [platinum]. Is that a lot?
and...
when they took the rings in they handed me a receipt with my name on it and "two tiffany rings for resizing" and that was it.
Because of something I read here, I thought that was pretty vague and told them I wanted a photo and the carat weight. They were kind of grouchy about it, but they did it. How much information should a jeweler put on a receipt for something he/she has taken in?
