Whoops, doubled and missed one!

Those were the detail shots... here they are smaller but all together.

They seem a bit heftier than I''m used to tacori being?

Maybe this is the new trend?

Im not feeling those AT ALL. THey seem to be missing someting and I am a minimalist. Not very Tacorieque.

That''s surprising for Tacori. They all look hunky and chunky, a definite departure from the present trend. It looks like the anti-tiny, anti-micro pave'' collection!

DITTO.

Too chunky for me. Still pretty, but not my style at all.

It is definitely a departure from what you usually see tacori producing thats for sure.

My uneducated guess the chunkiness has to do with the sad state of economic affairs atm with everything being so financially craptastic at the moment RTW people are trying to justify what they spend and how much they spend on it so by going a chunkier line people feel as if they are getting more diamond/setting for their money.

Deelight, that makes a lot of sense.

Here's the blurb they give for the line:

Reflect your strength and style with a striking new ring from Tacori’s 2009 engagement collection. Featuring a triple-Brilliant round diamond front and a mirror-smooth high polish band, this ring makes a strong statement with its bold band, measuring approximately 7.5mm wide. Tacori’s signature crescent details along the side mark the authenticity of the Tacori design and give subtle accents to the band.

7.5mm wide!!

Wow! Plus matching wedding band to make it 15mm?

Those wide bands may start off being sleek and high polished, but after a few months/years, they will be pretty banged up with regular wear...seems like they would need more polishing/maintenance than a thinner band... Not loving them either...Tacori is going for a blended look, the sleek with some ornate flourishes...I don''t think they''ve pulled it off.

umm...they''re not totally ugly, but they are really different from what''s popular right now. But what''s popular right now has been popular for awhile...I give it like another 10 years of pave and thin shanks.

They are pretty but personally I prefer something more delicate but its hard to tell from a photo.

I''d have to see them in person (b/c IRL they always look more delicate) and I am not one to shy away from wider bands (mine is 6mm) but these...I don''t know...nothing sings to me.

While Tacori rings are beautiful, they aren''t quite my style. The new settings I must say, are REALLY not my style.
7.5 mm seems awfully big too.

Too each their own, right?

I like Tacori''s earlier settings a thousand times better. These don''t appeal to me at all.

Agreed. My previous e-ring was really wide and had a lot of bare metal, and it only looked good for about two weeks after re-dipping. Then you could see every little ding and scratch on the surface. Not pretty!
