Hello everyone. I'm new to this site, my now-fiancé just proposed to me a couple of days ago with a diamond so I have to decide which setting to chose for my ring. I already knew for the longest time that I wanted a Tacori setting. I've been looking at everything else just to be sure and there is no doubt now in my mind. Only thing is, I can't decide between 3. They also exist with or without diamonds on the band, which I also like, so it would actually be a choice of 6!

My diamond is an RB 2.00 carat F VS2 Ex/Ex No fluo. I knew nothing about diamonds just a few days ago so I'm proud I got all this lingo under my belt now:)

I have never seen the settings in person yet, but from images i've seen I love the 2620 and 2639. I am also loving the 2638 now though because it really lets the center stone do the talking, and my boyfriend pointed out that having a halo of diamonds that are of lesser quality might not look as nice as having the diamond alone. I've had such a hard time finding photos of the 2638 online, but I found this video of one that is sporting a 2 carat diamond that has made me drool!

Does anyone out there have a real photo of this setting on their hand? I would love to see more photos of all of these!!

Also, I am 5'10 with size 6 ring, long hands, fingers, arms, legs, everything! So I want a ring with some substance.. I'm scared the diamond will get lost on my hand and be not as noticeable as on someone who is more petite and has cute little dainty hands and fingers. I keep seeing these lovely rings in pictures on several posts but then I notice that it is on a size 3.25 ring!

So... Tacori 2620, 2639 or 2638?!

Ooh tough choice. I love all of those settings!! First of all, a 2ct will not get lost on your frame. It sound like a great stone!! 2620 and 2639 are almost the same, it is just the bloom halo shape that is different. Second, do you want a cushion or a round shaped contour to your RB? Last, like you said, the 2638 would have a very similar gallery to both (profile area where it holds your center stone) but without a halo. All are equally beautiful, just depends if you want to keep the round shape or not. The halo is really very delicate on these styles you picked so I wouldn't worry about that overwhelming your center stone.

As for with or without pave, pictures of the settings with pave are pretty easy to find so I'll leave you to that.

For the 2620 and 2639, you should look through the halo w/ plain shanks thread https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/show-me-halos-with-plain-shanks.157864/

Here is a thread of 2620 with a plain shank https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/my-tacori-2620-3.180619/..... There are quite a few pictures of the 2620 actually if you look around...it's a great ring! :naughty:

2639 with plain shank https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/my-tacori-2639rd-plain-shank-halo-engagement-ring.158675/

As for the 2638...I ran into the same problem as you did while searching for myself. That video was my favorite and probably the best example I have seen of that style that wasn't a stock picture. What I loved about it was it had the same elements as the above 2 but from above just looked like a straightforward solitaire with pavé (or a solitaire if you get the plain shank).

PS Congrats on the engagement!! :wavey:
