Tacori Ring Question, Please Help

I found this ring on overstock.com , I love the setting, but have a few questions....

- What size of diamond would fit a 7 mm CZ?, could you do something besides round?

- What type of WB would you suggest to go with this ring?

- Can the heart design on the sides of the ring be removed/ changed easily?

1) you'll need about a 1.2-1/3 carat round for that setting..the head *might* be able to be changed for a different size or shape but (it will cost $$...you'd be better off just buying a ring made for your stone.)

2) the matching wedding band...i'm sure tacori makes one

3) no, i wouldn't risk changing the design on the sides...see () of #1...

Ditto! That ring is made for a round stone, so I wouldn''t even consider it unless you plan to get a round stone around 1.25 cts.

Tacori makes matching bands for their rings.

I believe Tacori will make adjustments to the head (for different stone shapes and to remove the heart), but you would have to send it to Tacori (or another jeweler) who can do this. So, maybe that would bring the price up to the cost of just buying a stock ring you like as is.

Here is a similar one from Engagement Rings Direct (a trusted PS vendor) without a heart for less than Overstock.com''s Tacori. I would search through their (ERD) site.

Copy cat ... I just ordered the exact same one! I like everything about it, all the right stuff for me. I looked at many Tacori's at B&M, I didn't see the exact one, but got a good mental image as an educated guess. I found the sides look very different than the computer blow ups. The heart carving will be very subtle, you may like it. I did see some of the exact same Tacori's at B&M as overstock, B&M where always twice the price (not including haggling, warranty and services included).

The ring shipped from Glendale CA, so I assume it shipped directly from Tacori, as that's where they are located. I'm giving the ring with the CZ and 30 day return policy attached. I'll get the 1.25 ct diamond down the road, but realize I'll be spending the money I saved on the setting to go towards a diamond larger than I had planned.

The bad news is that the order was very slow and I probably won't see it until after the 1st ... I had planned on popping the Q new years eve

This Band might go well with it, but you'd have to order it to see for sure.

These types of rings look better than ones with flat sides IMHO, but it is more difficult to fit bands with them as they may not line up nicely. There are bands with curves to bend around the center stone, no steals on overstock, though.
