Tacori Resizing Stories

I am curious as to stories from individuals who have had their Tacori engagement rings resized. I recently purchased mine and it is in the process of being made. I used a Tiffany ring my gf wears on her ring finger and I brought that to the jewelry store. The person at the store said because its a thicker band I should maybe go 1/4 size up from what it was showing on the measuring tool. My question though is how does the ring look after Tacori has resized the ring? I might end up having to go smaller from a 5.75 to a 5.5/5.25. Let me know what you think, and before/after photos are always a plus! This is the ring she will be getting, its only have pave so hopefully would make resizing easier :)

I would not consider sizing down that little bit. Always wait and see how a ring fits in the hottest part of the summer before considering sizing. Many women's weight changes over their lifespan, so ring size can change, too. If it is just a tiny bit too big, once she wears a wedding band with it, it will fit more snugly. If it is still too big, then add sizing beads inside the shank. They can easily be removed if she needed the extra room later. I would not size a ring that has diamonds on the shank unless it was unwearable, as in, too small.

Thanks for your reply! I have been told by a previous authorized Tacori retailer that they find the rings run on the smaller side, do you believe there is any truth to that? Also, I assume that any sizing beads needing to be put on would have to be done to Tacori to avoid nixing the warranty.

I have never heard that before about them running small. It is true that wider shanks need a slightly larger size than thin ones, however.

I would probably have Tacori do the sizing beads unless your jeweler is an authorized dealer who is approved to do work on the rings under warranty. Sizing beads is not invasive, so it is one thing I would not require sending to Tacori, other than if it would void the warranty.

That is a beautiful ring and I think it will be good if it is a little on the larger side now in order to fit well in the summer and with a wedding band added.
