Tacori Resizing-Please Help!

My boyfriend recently purchased a Tacori 2578RD9. The ring is 18k. It is not an eternity band but rather the diamonds go 3/4 down. I had the sizing done at 4.75 in order for the ring not to spin. I hate the feeling! I just received the ring last week and now I am afraid that it might be slightly too tight. When it is on the bottom of my finger it fits perfectly. I was afraid that size 5 would spin but as it is now, it can be difficult for me to take off because it gets stuck on my knuckle. I am afraid that when summer comes my fingers will get swollen from the heat and the ring will be much harder to take off. I have also heard that the e-ring might get tighter once the w-band is added.

My question is for those who have sent their rings to Tacori to get resized approximately how long would that take? Also, would resizing .25 compromise the structure of the ring? I have heard that with pave settings resizing a ring could damage the structure of the ring and thus, would make it easier for the pave diamonds to fall off.

Thanks for the help!

Below is a pict of the ring. It's not my ring because my bf hid it from me until he proposes. He is waiting to talk to my dad!

Congratulations on your beautiful ring! Did Tacori do the sizing you already had done? If so, then the jeweler can just send it back to them to resize. You cannot send it yourself. Technically you should only let Tacori work on it because they may void the warranty on the ring if someone else works on it.

The ring should definitely not be snug now because it probably will be too tight once summer comes and you add a wedding band. I wouldn't worry about spinning so much now. Be sure you get properly sized this time, though, because it isn't great for the ring to be sized multiple times.

diamondseeker 2006, Thank you. Yes, I had Tacori make it 4.75 thinking that it should be fine because 5 can be somewhat loose but it won't fall off. My concern is that since the ring is very detailed and intricate resizing it will affect the structure of the ring and affect the small diamonds on the band.

The ring as it is now goes in comfortably and fits comfortably but when I go to take it off its a bit hard to take out. I'm thinking of waiting to see how it is during the summer and trying on some w-bands later on before I actually have Tacori resize it. As I mentioned, my major concern is that it would affect the rings structure so if anyone has ever had an intricate Tacori e-ring resized, I would appreciate your comments.

It's unlikely that a quarter size will be a problem at all, I've had antique rings that are extremely delicate sized more than that. Just make sure Tacori does the work- there's plenty of mediocre bench workers out there.

You might consider small sizing beads if it spins at a size 5. I have them and it makes my too-large ring fit fine, no spinning, plus there's room for my finger to swell in the summer if it wants to
