Hey All,

I just got a a Tacori setting from Bailey Banks and Biddle, who are going out of business. Here is the setting:

http://www.tacori.com/Engagement-Rings/HT232612X

I got it in platinum. The list price was $9,600, but I got it for $3,100 after tax. I am really happy about the purchase, but I have a few questions:

1) Bailey Banks was an authorized Tacori dealer, but the settings never come with the Tacori box or paperwork (certificate of authenticity) in the retail store. Is there a way I can get both the box and paperwork from Tacori?

2) Will Tacori still service the ring as their own since Bailey Banks is going out of business?

Thanks!

any info will be helpful! Thanks!

I would love to know the answer to this. I just put a deposit on a ring, with Tacori setting, and no one even mentioned if I would receive a Tacori box, certification, etc.

I hope someone knows a little more about this.

As an authorized Tacori dealer, I have asked this question of Tacori before and was told that Tacori does not provide warranty service on merchandise which was purchased at a discount. Proof of purchase is required for warranty service.

Note that I''m not expressing an opinion about whether I feel this is an acceptable policy or not, I''m just passing on what I''ve been told, so don''t kill the messenger.

Todd, thanks for the info. I do have a question about whether or not Tacori will provide service at other authorized dealers, even though you did not specifically buy a Tacori ring from said dealer.

For instance, I understand Jared''s use to carry Tacori. If I bought a Tacori ring from Jared''s, but then moved to another state, say Texas, could I get my Tacori ring serviced from another authorized Tacori dealer other than Jared''s?

Thanks.

I am pretty sure I read that things purchased at the BBB clearance (and other similar events) will not be covered under warranty by companies like Ritani and Tacori. But not sure if that's true because it wasn't from the horses mouth.

I certainly think so, but suppose that this depends on the individual dealer. We look at every person who comes to us for service as an opportunity to earn the future business of that person and the people that they know... So we''re happy to provide service on jewelry purchased elsewhere, but some jewelers get caught up in ''snobbery'' and cop an attitude which is completely uncalled for IMO. So while a Tacori dealership is not the same as a FORD dealership in terms of being required to provide warranty and other related services, I would certainly HOPE that all Tacori dealers would be willing to provide any services needed for a Tacori ring! (and I''d certainly drop a line to Tacori if you found a jeweler who didn''t share that belief)

Thanks Todd.

This is my first day on this site, and you seem to be a great reason why I''ve heard so many good things about it. On another note, is there a way maybe you can answer my post titled "Emerald Cut Diamond?"

I recently put a deposit on a diamond to go with a Tacori setting, and would like to get your opinion. I also tried to email you my questions; however, I was unable to find an email address.

Thanks again, Todd.

Tacori wont service their own product if it was bought at a discount? wow...
