My partner and I recently bought our wedding rings from Tacori. His was too tight and had to be re-sized up, mine was too loose and had to be resized from a 9.5 to a 9. My partner's ring came back looking perfect. We assumed they just remade his. But mine has come back with some very noticeable (to me) issues that weren't present in the first ring.
1) It is obvious where it was re-sized, the crescents on either side are clearly deformed.
2) The diamonds used to be flush with the ring, now they visibly sit above the metal of the ring. My understanding is that channel set diamonds should sit flush with the ring.
3) The spacing of the diamonds is inconsistent, some are farther apart than others. As seen from below, the diamonds are no longer centered in their under-sections (see picture, really hard to describe)
4) The venting detail on the interior of the ring is noticeably different (this is less of a concern for me).
I paid ~$3,300 for this ring. It's the only piece of jewelry I've ever owned. The jeweler seemed unhappy that we both had to get them re-sized as is. I feel like complaining about these will require me to be a little more assertive than I'm comfortable with.
Are these concerns legitimate or is this just par for the course?
What should I do Pricescope pals?
EDIT: Apparently the file size is reduced when I upload the pics, so it's hard to see the detail.
