Hi Everyone,
First time poster looking for some advice on whether to buy a diamond or not. I am set on buying a Tacori 2620 with pave. It is my girlfriend's dream ring, whether she wants to admit it or not. I want to get something around 1.15-1.30 ct but I'm finding it increasingly hard within my price-range. I know some people do not like cushion modified brilliance because of the "crushed ice" look but I saw a nice one today. Below are the specs:
GIA
Cushion Modified Brilliant
Carat: 1.25
Color: F
Clarity: SI1
Depth: 68.6%
Table: 63%
Girdle: VTN to ETK
Cutlet: Non
Polish: Excellent
Symmetry: Good
Fluorescence: None
Price: $5,600 (my budget for the center stone is about $5,500 so that's fine)
Is this a good deal? It was a nice diamond but I didn't see it mounted. Should I be concerned that it's a cushion modified brilliant instead of regular? Also, should I be concerned about the symmetry? I read that symmetry should not be a reason to dismiss a diamond unless it's below Good.
Any advice would really help!
