Hello,
I recently purchased a 1.03 carat square emerald and chose the Tacori 2620prmdg for it. The jeweler told me the princess setting would be a better fit because it is square. Also based on the sizing if I got the emerald setting I would have to go with the small. Do you think that the emerald is going to be ok in the princess setting, because it seems like there wont be the accent diamonds in the top corners because the princess would have had corners there. He said the emerald is designed for a rectangular ring. I just placed the order on sat so i can call and change it im sure. Also, I know some have said you can get a head modification, but this jeweler had no idea what i was talking about and assured me that tacori makes everything look right. Should I just believe him and leave it be with the princess setting or do i have a problem?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Henne and welcome!

Just to clarify here, have you purchased an emerald gemstone or emerald cut diamond?

Diamond.

I think the issue is that it is a square stone not an emerald shaped stone.

What setting does Tacori use for Asschers? That is the one you should use.

Can yo ucall tacori to double check?

I would call or email Tacori. I have a marquis cut stone which I once thought about setting in one of their settings. They said that they would customize a ring for the stone specifically. If your jeweler is an authorized Tacori dealer, I think they can contact Tacori for you, I think... They should...

My setting was designed for a RB. Tacori customized it for an EC at no extra cost.

@dreamerd: You can use the princess cut for an asscher stone. I asked that question in this post:
