Hi Everyone,
I just recently upgraded my engagement ring to a 1.54 ct round center diamond, G, S12, ideal cut, triple Ex. My old stone was a brilliant cut 1.09 ct, G, SI1, ideal cut, triple EX and I'd like to put it into a pendant. I LOVE the Tacori 2620 cushion cut halo ring - had I seen this and been able to pick out my engagement ring, that is definitely what I would have chosen. I do love my engagement set (sorry, can't figure out how to make pics small enough yet to post pics but will keep trying). My question is, would the 2620 loose that special quality that comes from the delicate cushion halo when set as a necklace and earrings? Would it be better to go with a round halo for the necklace and earrings? Earrings are coming in the future so I'm trying to plan ahead. Looking for opinions on what everyone likes better.
Thanks!

I've included pics of the diamond as well as my rings by Gottlieb and sons. I want the necklace and earrings to coordinate with my ring too.
this is the diamond that will be used in the pendant, G, SI1, Ideal cut, 1.09 ct

My rings, and new center diamond, 1.54 ct, G SI2, Ideal cut

Please excuse my very bony knuckles, ring size is 5.75 to get over them!

any opinions out there? I'd love some input, thanks!

Although I prefer the look of the cushion halo, I'd go with the round halo just because I'm obsessed with my earrings: they have to be in the "right" position and perfectly allined... if I had cushion halo earrings, I'd spend all my time adjusting them.

Having seen both in person, I would choose the round halo over the cushion. Just my preference. However, most people seem to like the cushion over the round from my experience.

The round pendant is actually on my wish list and I hope to get it soon! You really can't go wrong with either as they are both stunning!

My preference is for the cushion pendant, but not the cushion earrings. I'm also obsessed with having things look 'just right' and if the cushions weren't sitting correctly, that would bug me.

But if you are wanting all to match, I guess you'll have to go round.... (but I still prefer the cushion necklace!)

I would have to have the round earrings for sure, so in that case, I would want the pendant to match. Your rings are fairly ornate in design, so I think going a little more simple on the other items would make more sense since they aren't going to match the rings.

Thanks everyone, I am just having the hardest time making up my mind. The jeweler said they'd have them in this Saturday to see in person so hopefully that will help. Like I said, I think the cushion halo on the ring is the most gorgeous thing ever but the earrings being not totally straight would drive me crazy. Another possibility would be maybe to get the cushion pendant and just upgrade my current diamond studs to keep it a simple elegant look. I currently wear a 1/3ct diamond pear necklace and .5ct studs and they look nice but too small =)

I finally decided on the cushion shaped pendant after seeing it in person. I picked it up Friday and I thought I'd share photos because looking at everyone's pics on here have helped me a lot.
