Tacori 2565RD9 vs. Hearts on Fire Wondrous split-shank

My boyfriend and I are on the hunt for "the" perfect engagement ring.

I'm torn between two settings right now (we're focusing on selecting the setting first) - I'm hoping to get a princess or radiant cut center stone.

Option 1: Tacori 2565RD9

Option 2: Hearts on Fire Wondrous split-shank

What are your thoughts? Has anyone had good/bad experiences with either?

User photos welcome!!! :)

I really like both of the settings! I cant even decide which one I like better. I think I like the split shank for a non-round
stone. Final answer!

I prefer the Tacori, but with more delicate prongs...

I love that HOF setting. I know I've seen that ring on PS before, but I can't seem to find any links. I think its beautiful though :love:
The Tacori is gorgeous too though. I'm no help. :blackeye:

HI:

Out of the two--Tacori. Happy shopping!

cheers--Sharon

I like the top view of the HoF but the side view is too much pave for me. If you can, try both rings on so you see what you like on your hand...that might help you decide. ultimately you are the one wearing the ring!

Out of the two I would pick the HOF:)

I like the Tacori :)

Agree, see if you can try them on in person.

Thanks for all of the support, everyone! I will definitely see if I can take some photos and share.

I swung by a jeweler tonight to try on the Tacori again, and I'm still in love. I love how the wedding band(s) perfectly frame it.

I still haven't seen the HOF in person yet, but I'm anxious to!

Bring on your photos. :)

I vote for option 2! :-) :tongue:

I prefer the Tacori!

I really like the HoF, but I agree with the other posters that you really need to be able to try them both on. Both are beautiful though. Good Luck

I love the Tacori. I have tried that ring on in person and it was lovely. Did you try the new feature on the Tacori site that lets you try it on if you have a webcam? That's pretty cool.

Definitely the Tacori. Definitely.

I'm afraid I can't be of any help here. They're both lovely settings, although I do know that dyed-in-the-wool HofF people, are and always remain HofF people. (My best gem buddy is one). You would get fine quality diamonds and workmanship either way. And I know that jewelry store that you linked to. They are lovely people, it's a beautiful shop, and it's a nice experience to shop there. It's just that HofF carries a heavy premium for the branded name.

Tacori! Sounds like it makes your heart go pitter patter...

The HoF for sure!! I think it's more timeless.

I don't have the real HOF setting, but I had ERD make me a replica one a few years ago. When it got damaged they made another this time with some rose gold. I took a few cell phone pictures so you can get an idea of what the HOF setting would look like in real life. I loved both of the settings you selected, but he selected the setting and chose the HOF style one. You can't wrong with either in my opinion. :appl:

They are both pretty but I really like the HoF :lickout:

You're welcome. I hope it helps. I think I've seen the Tacori and the actual HOF around here somewhere...

Try to go see them in person before you decide. I fell in love with a Bev K ring and when I saw it in person on my finger I knew right away it wasn't for me and I went with something I never thought I would love. Try on as many styles as you can...it is like finding a wedding dress- try them all!

@bae 7 HOF Wondrous picture 3 - that's it, I swear! :) It's eye candy.

And the Tacori I fell in love with...
@mikalakai's radiant-cut 2565rd9 ring

@Sarahbear621 - good advice!! I tried on the Tacori (with a princess 1.5 center), and fell in love with it. The jeweler paired it with a straight micro-pave band from Tacori, and that really helped to "frame" it a bit more. I wish I could have taken pictures, but that particular jeweler doesn't allow it (boo). I'm still on the hunt for the HOF setting in my area - fingers crossed that one will stand out significantly more than the other! :)
