In large diamonds of 4+ carats Is there really a visual difference in terms of fire and scintillation between a diamond with super ideal proportions vs one that has all super ideal measurements and excellent ASET/Idealscope images except a 58% table?

Just curious as to how just a few percentage points in the table impacts the diamond visually when all else is basically the same.

If you were to measure the data scientifically, there may be some differences in ever so slightly better cut diamonds. Everything counts in super ideal cutting as it is a quest for perfection. When the issue is what your own eyes will see, then it is up to your experience and vision capability. Science is no longer the issue, but your own physiology and mentality are of much greater importance. Maybe you or someone else, an expert in diamond appearance, might say or think they do see some difference. Maybe not. Lighting and many other factors will alter the outcome, too.

Most Super Ideal aficionados search for the ultimate amount of perfection regardless of their personal ability to see everything in a quantifiable way. If your needs are a bit below Super Ideal. then you just don't need to fret over 58% versus 57% on a table. Look at the diamond and decide if it works for you.

Those who totally support Super Ideal cuts will respond that everything matters. Those who spend their shopping time looking very close to the Super Ideal borderline zones to make their budget work have very little to fear from tiny adjustments away from such total perfection.

As round diamonds get bigger table size should ideally decrease as otherwise the diamond becomes 'empty'.
I saw a 50ct D aiming for flawless being polished and it was quite boring. In that case messing up the symmetry would have helped.
