Just out of curiosity... Is it possible to have the crown and pavilion angles be ideal and still have a large table? Kind of like slicing a piece off the top of the table so that the table size becomes bigger. Would this stone still be ideal cut?

'Slicing a piece' from the top could result in making a diamond too shallow, but when planned appropriately larger tables can be appealing. The trade-off may be a decrease in the amount of fire you will see.

AGS used to allow only 53-58% tables to qualify for an Ideal grade under the 1996-2005 proportions-based system. Now that they have moved to performance-based grading, configurations with tables up to 61% may earn Ideal when coupled with appropriate crown and pavilion angles.
