Hi all,

I currently have an Asscher 1.20 with a table of 58% (GIA, D color, med flor) and I want to upgrade to a larger stone to do a re-set. I know that tables are supposed to be smaller on asschers but I honestly find myself attracted to asschers with larger tables 65%-ish.

Do you assccher folks think that the larger table makes it look too "glassy"? I''m trying to upgrade to the 1.70 weight range (and go down to G/H in color) and the larger tables make the stone look larger but I''m worried that because of the larger table it won''t really be a true asscher cut.

Does this make sense? Any thoughts?

TIA!!

Hi Miss Fortune,

My asscher - 1.54 ct has a 66% table and I agree, a larger table makes the stone appear larger IMO. I love mine w/ a larger table. I even think w/ the larger table it''s easier to see the mile deep look.

You can find my stone/ring on here too.

depends on the crown height.
65 and 66 with high crown can be ok.
either with a low crown can be a dog.

Thanks strm. How high should the crown height be? what''s a nice range? Thanks!

thanks asscher girl! your ring is yummy!!
