New cut by Tiffany - NOVO

I was flipping through the Town and Country Weddings special issue that was delivered along
with my February issue, page 62.

lo and behold the magazine uses ACA to descibe the new cut, slightly square, like a cushion,
they say. Bet the price is above too!!

I wonder if I can hear that comment, too, on my I-Phone.

of course, WF probably has that trademarked, but in this case,

it looks like the magazine Town and Country is using it do describe

the new Tiff cut. I doubt if Tiffany had any input on it, most likely

just who ever works for the magazine, randomly used it.

Just out of curiosity, I searched the US Patent & Trademark Office web site for "a cut above" and got 68 hits. It''s a fairly common marketing term, as one might expect.

I have no idea what WF is doing to protect this mark, but I did find several registations (all since abandoned) by other diamond merchants.

IGI has a current application for "A CUT ABOVE THE REST!" There''s also a Chicago meat packer who has trademarked "A CUT ABOVE THE BREAST."
