Surprise for Hubby! Ten year anniversary!

My husband and I will be celebrating our ten year anniversary soon! We will have been married for three years and together for ten. I am so excited! When we were getting married I tried to get him into wearing diamonds and he always insisted that he hated the look.

I always show him when I see something interesting on PS and when I saw Kenny's tension set rings I showed him. Those he actually liked! I never thought my husband would be into the solitaire look but apparently he likes bigger solitaire diamonds and opposed to melee set mens rings.

A couple of months ago I cam across the perfect stone from BGD. A .38 I VS2 H&A. Since he likes Kenny's settings I checked out Bruce Boone's site and picked out an awesome setting.

Below is a photo of the setting, I don't actually have any pics of the diamond. His ring will be 5.5mm and a size 8.75, the diamond is about 4.75mm so he will have some extra space around it to protect it. I can't wait to take some pics when it comes!

I just had the thought that usually when people say "surprise for my husband" on PS, it generally refers to the surprise he gets when a gal has bought something blingy for HERSELF!

Thanks ladies! I can't wait for handshots either! I have heard that Bruce is pretty quick on turnaround so I'm hoping to have this back by the 20th or so since my husband and I are going on a mini vaca. Our anniversary isn't until June but he never makes me wait for jewelry so I'm not going to make him wait either. I got my present back in December, lol.

Awesome! Bruce is insanely quick. I ordered my husband's custom and engraved ring on Saturday and he emailed me on Monday to say it shipped.

I just emailed Bruce to see if he received my diamond and he has already finished the ring and shipped it out! Hopefully I'll have pics for you all soon! I'm giving the ring to hubby next week when we go see Wicked in NYC, it'll be his first broadway show and diamond all on the same day!

Ok so here are the pics! First up is Hubby's ring. The stone is a Brian Gavin Diamonds H&A, .38cts, I color, VS2. We had it set into one of Bruce Boone's Titanium tension settings, size 8.75

Next up is my part of the anniversary gift, Brian Gavin Diamonds pre-set bezel studs, .70cttw, G-H color and SI2 clarity. I was lucky enough to get them during the cyber Monday sale when they were only $799! These studs are perfect for me!
