Gosh I don''t know, but would think that the jeweler could let it soak in something that would disolve the super glue. I don''t think it would hurt the diamond as diamonds are very tough. But next time windy, take off your rings when doing projects involving super glue!!!!!
I used to take my ring off all the time, but since summer came, they are hard to get off, so I just started leaving them on all the time. I hadn''t gotten around to getting them resized.
It looks like the glue ate the platinum. It doesn''t shine in those areas anymore.
My husband is going to be mad b/c he told me to wait until he got home so that he could fix what I was trying to fix. I didn''t even get it fixed either!
superglue won''t hurt your platinum. If it''s just diamonds and platinum you can drop it in nail polish remover for a little while and it''ll clean right up. Pearls, opals and some other materials are sensitive so don''t do this to just any old ring but platinum, gold and diamonds will all be fine.
