SuperChonky Pearls of Grace - A Special Necklace

This pearl necklace is in memory of a dear relative who passed away after having Alzheimer's for many years. I found the string of blue grey souffle pearls on Etsy and initially showed them on the What Did You Get For Christmas thread.

I had some leftover blue Akoyas from Pearl Paradise which I thought would be nice as spacers, since the souffle strand was only 17 inches. I worked with Margaret from SimplyAdorned4U on Etsy, and she suggested bluish opal rondelles and white topaz beads. We chose this clasp:

Margaret chose one pearl as a pendant, saying this pearl immediately popped out at her as a pendant. Looks kind of like a blue bunny complete with cotton tail. Because I am a larger lady, I wanted size and length. It is about 28" finished.

I bought my Tahitians from SimplyAdorned4U and they look a lot like this; my necklace is a dual orbit clasp so easy to hang the pendant on them.
 
As well, my sister had bought 32" of peacock 10 mm pearls from QualityBeadMart on Etsy (where my SuperChonks came from). She had a bracelet and necklace made by Margaret. Check out these glamour shots! Yowza!

So beautiful- the soft pastel blue colors of the pearls are just gorgeous. I love how versatile the pendant is.
 
So many beautiful strands :love: But your memorial strand - that one is one of a kind. A really beautiful combination of stones in a really lovely arrangement - soft and inviting. Tracking shows my pearls will arrive on Thursday, so I think that really means next week LOL.

im a newbie to the world of pearls but that necklace is absolutely stunning.
pearls are like Opals, each one an individual and totally unique. Special gifts from nature.
wear them with much joy.

I didn't quote all of your necklaces...because it would be too many pictures but I love them all. The one you had made in memory of your aunt is so outstanding. I'm plus-sized too and at times like this...yes, yes you can wear big bold pearls and not have them wear you.

Ooooohhhhhh, you made me look at this Southsea combo :) and favorite this shop. The price is very good for the luster on this strand. If I didn't have another one on the way right now, I would be so tempted!

Am I right? It's so true. Pearls are addictive....I mean, it's only one strand.

This was created by SimplyAdorned4U on Etsy. I had bought a Kasumi- like strand which had different types of CFWs and pink sapphires from her. Favourited her shop and then saw Tahitians which I had to have. I asked if she did custom pieces, the answer was yes, and badabing-badaboom here we are!
