Sunscreen and Pearls?

Is reef-safe sunscreen okay for pearls? When I put on sunscreen I tend not to wear pearls, but I got thinking that with reef-friendly sunscreen, perhaps it's safe to wear pearls that come into contact with that skin? Necklaces/bracelets. Now is my fave time to wear pearls, but sunscreen is more important.

I don't know of any cosmetic product that I would feel safe recommending to be used with pearls.

When I am wearing any cosmetic product on my neck, including lotion, perfume or sunscreen, I wear only non-pearl necklaces.
Earrings, especially dangles, should be a safe bet as the pearls are not in contact with your skin. Even studs are probably safe as the cup part of the finding keeps the pearl away from your earlobe.
