Can someone suggest which diamond is better? There is a $7K price differential. The first one is almost $28K and the second one is around $35K. I found these from Mark and ERD. Would you get the cheaper one since it has I color but has fluorescence so maybe it'd show up whiter?

Thanks for your input!!!

I am by no means a cushion expert, just a cushion lover. HOWEVER, I would trust Mark''s trained eye--has he given you his opinions on these two stones? He''s chosen nothing but winners for PSers in the past.

Good luck!

Hi. I have an antique old mine cut (although our antique appraiser said it is a cartier cushion) that we found while looking for the perfect cushion ER. My opinion is that you have to look at it and pick the one you love. They are all very different. We looked with Mark too but in the end went with an antique we found elsewhere b/c it had the personality I loved. I personally like a smaller rounded table, a higher crown and chunky facets and bold light flashes. Some of them are shallower with big square tables, etc. It''s a matter of personal preference but I will never buy a cushion without seeing it first, it''s almost impossible to tell on paper. In terms of color, I think cushions look nicer with a little warmth.

One more thing, you should decide if you like a square stone or a rectangular one as these stones are a very slightly different shape than each other.

You just cannot choose a cushion from a cert. If you could post pictures of the two stones, I am sure you''ll get some opinions!

We need pics!!! Plain and simple. Can''t go by the certs alone. Please have Mark take some pics....

I think you need to see pictures of these stones. But based on the paper I think the first one looks good but you really should see a picture.

I agree with what''s been said above about needing to see the stones. However, I personally would be a little concerned about the very thin girdle on the second stone.

I agree you must see them to begin to decide. Also, Faint Flo is not going to mask the color any, it''s not near strong enough.
