With your help, I was able to get the stone for my ring under the budget. I now have some $ left for a pairs of studs. Can you please help getting a few options for budget under 4k?
~5 tcw (2.4 a 2.5 each)
D-F, VS2-VVS1
Ideal cut, triple EX
HPHT

I'm not finding any good pairs for under $4K unfortunately.
 
What would be reasonable budget for 5ctw vs 4ctw?
 
Glancing at loosegrown, I think 4tcw at about $4k-ish will work. For 5tcw, $5-ish? Maybe on the higher side of $5k? This is a very wide ballpark aerial picture.
 
Silly question - when I compare 2 carat vs 2.5 carat on the finger, I can see the size difference, but I wonder on the ears, would it make the same impact. My earlobe can do both but not smaller :(. If you think so, then I will aim for 5 tcw. Thanks.
 
Lots of ppl buy CZ studs from Amazon of varying sizes and wear them around for a few weeks. It's a good way to see what you prefer before you buy. You might find that the 2.5 size is a must. Or you might see that the 2.0 is just fine. Earlobes are so personal that I recommend trying some studs on before buying.

But if you want us to go ahead and search for 5tcw, then let us know what your budget is and your preferred color.
 
This is a 2 carat look on me. I am sure I can do 2.5 but just wonder if it looks bigger from a far or one can’t tell. What do you think?

concun, I will say that DSS sets in fast, so I would go for the size you really want.
 
Ok. You all convince me. Let’s go for 5 tcw. Budget 6k and under. Sweet spot would be lower 5k. Thanks!

There is often a premium on GIA diamonds. The other one has also been in inventory longer; it has an earlier report date.
 
Arrggg i lost internet during payment processing and the 1st diamond is gone! Actually, both of them gone.

~5.2k after 2% discount code. I did venture to F and they are my first Fs. My mom would not buy anything but D, when I go to E, she was :???:. Now I go to F, she will be like :eek2:.
 
Don’t tell her they are F, and see if she even notices :lol:

Of course it is from no where else but Mr DK. It is inspiration from @Kimkim’s previous ring setting. My first time working with DK and I can’t find flaw except that the setting is much lighter than I anticipate but that is on my part.
