Stuck deciding between two comparable diamonds

I am learning the diamond game as this is my first time purchasing.. this will be for an engagement ring for my girlfriend and will be set in a 14K Rose Gold setting.

I have read varying accounts of how the rose gold setting will affect the appearance of different colors (i.e. J can appear whiter due to contrast), fluorescence, etc. so any input is appreciated!

I cannot decide (at this point) between:

and

Feedback appreciated! Thanks

:knockout: Neither - the angles are not complimentary on either stone. Stick to GIA triple excellent stones only and use these parameters to stay within ideal territory:
Table: 54-58
Depth: 60-62.3
Crown Angle: 34-35 (sometimes 35.5 with a 40.6 pavilion angle)
Pavilion Angle: 40.6-40.9 (sometimes 41 with a 34 crown angle)

Do you have to buy from Brilliant Earth? What's your budget so we could help you look?

Ahh, so the learning never stops! :( Thanks for the tips.

The reason for Brilliant Earth is that she loves their ethical sourcing practices that produce conflict-free diamonds. She has loved the company for years and hinted towards a ring from there. If it were up to me, I agree, I'd pursue elsewhere for the larger selection of options.. :'(

As for budget, I have a rough budget of $6-6.5k, and the setting she wants is $1,490 (Rose Gold Lotus Flower). So that leaves about $5k for the diamond itself.

Thanks again, I'll keep digging for now and would love any additional suggestions!

Got it - this would be my first choice, then: https://www.brilliantearth.com/loose-diamonds/view_detail/3953569/

Followed by this one which is a 60/60 style and will favor white light return over fire...https://www.brilliantearth.com/loose-diamonds/view_detail/3928677/
Thanks! I have a question about that diamond and what I see in the GIA report.

After comparing through pretty much the entire inventory on Brilliant Earth I also concluded on that one at this time now knowing the specs to look for!

Here is the GIA report and my concern. The green-ish marks circled are, I'm assuming, "natural" blemishes. The one on the top of the diamond is RIGHT on the edge which worries me. Will it look chipped or broken being that it is right on the edge? Or could this be something else that's virtually invisible to the naked eye?

Thanks again!

Not an issue in a VVS stone and definitely nothing that will be seen with the naked eye.
