Hi Guys,
I am very new here and looking for engagement diamond ring. I know this has been probably mentioned a million times and sorry for mentioning it again, but after much search, i am narrowed down to only two diamonds left. One however in particular has Strong Blue fluorescence shown in GIA report.
GIA research in 1997 said that in most if not almost all cases, Strong Blue will not cause 'milky and hazy' looks or affect the brilliance even under direct sun light, but then also many so claimed experts in diamond (watch youtube) are staying away from Medium or Strong blue fluorescence.
I like this diamond for it's a very nice VS2 and the cut proportions sounds like a super cut proportions for H&A as well as scores very well under HCA. Unfortunately, since i am buying this online, there is no way i can tell if it will be milky/hazy until i personally inspect it myself.
What is the chances that a Strong blue can affect/create milky/hazy looks? Are these so called "professionals" are scaring people off, or their opinion is genuine and i better off look for none/faint stone?
I have included the picture of the diamond as well as the GIA report.
Thank you very much for your kind help on this matter!
