I am planning an eternity band and have decided on a design. I would like to use .30 carat rounds but may settle for .25 as they are so much less expensive. (I ideally want DEFG, vs stones) I have gotten quotes on the ACA''s and have done some searching but now I have a question about the ACA and H&A diamond appearance and "feel". IDEALLY I would have old euros but to find 12 to 14 colorless well cut OEC''s is not possible. I wonder if H&A and ACA stones are too "modern" and sharply defined to give my art deco style band the quality I want. Would I be better off with generic excellent/excellent stones? Any other thoughts?

ask GOG if they have melee GOG OEC?

ok...

Singlestone has OEC eternity bands, and they do custom.

That''s what I was thinking too. I think modern RB''s could be fine too-but it certainly doesn''t make sense IMO to get less well performing modern rounds...

Also, you''ve tried on eternity bands of this size right? I find them mighty uncomfortable on the sides of my fingers!

For example, here is a 3 carat oec band from singlestone

Yep, Single Stone would be my first choice for a custom piece involving OECs.

okay so maybe i am trying to mix periods??? if the ring is truly art deco in style then perhaps OEC arent the proper stone???

what kind of cut were the stones in art deco pieces?

actually i just did some googling and it seems OEC were used in DECO
