Stones for Earrings? What do you think of this pair?

Good morning! I am trying to help a friend with pick out a 10th anniversary gift for his wife. Beautiful studs are what he is hoping to get her. She has, as even she says, substantial lobes . So we’re looking in the 1.5 ct range. These are lab and I know they’re IGI, but the proportions and price seems great (5K for both), and they are earrings so I thought they seemed like the ones?

Curious what you think of them?

I’m surprised they are vs2. Maybe they need a cleaning. Otherwise I think they are lovely! Lucky lady!

Thank you AprilBaby! Yeah, There are definitely quite a lot of carbon specs. I was rather taking the “lots of small is better than one big” logic there?

I am starting to wonder if character diverges too much between the two stones? The one has noticeably fatter arrows and the other is more splintery. I wonder if this will make one seem more sparkly than the other, or if even that is ok for earrings? Hmmm. I don’t want to steer them wrong!

I literally purchased a pair of 2.38 cttw H VS1 studs from Jonathan at Distinctive Gem today.

He has leased the technology from AGS to evaluate cut as they do - so the studs I purchased (for less than your budget) are AGS0 quality light performance.

I’d suggest to give him a call to source options for you as well. I am not educated enough to make a call on your stone, besides that the proportions look promising from an HCA standpoint but Jonathan is a true expert
