Did somebody else see this diamond?
I really love it.
I saw it next to the 1.29ct N-IF, but I prefered this one, don''t ask me why...
Hmmm, should I sell some stocks to buy it?
Hard time to decide...

It is lovely ... tough decision!

What do you have in mind for it -- ring? necklace? other?

I don''t know, I don''t like to wear more than 1 ring, and I already have my amazing 2.123ct ACA in a left hand ring.
But this 1.26 was really breathtaking, I saw it when I visited Paul Slegers in Antwerp.
I could perhaps make a right hand yellow gold ring, in a very solid setting, or give it to one of my sisters.

Can I ask why you stay so high with the clarity?

I''m very clarity sensitive.
The only SI1 I keep is my 2.123 ACA.
Because it''s almost eye-clean for me.
I only can catch an inclusion with the naked eye (after searching) under direct lighting, and because I know where it is.
Most SI1''s are NOT eye-clean for me, even some VS2''s aren''t clean enough.

I guess you ask me that because you don''t understand why I even think about N-color.
Believe me, I saw this diamond, yes it''s slightly yellow, and I love it.
I love the dispersion of cape diamonds.

Do you have to wear the same ring every day? There can be a second I suppose
5.gif

There can always be two diamonds on a ring... without getting in the weird zone too much.

Gifts are great too. And you can always keep the thing in the drawer until inspiration kicks in.

Anyway, just meant to post something funny

Dunno how many fans such things might have, but I am one of those...

Thanks for your ideas!

An earring?
2.gif

I wouldn''t dare!

But a bold yellow gold right hand ring, yes...

Valeria, as the size is smaller and the color lower than my ACA, I don''t want it to compete with this last one. If you remember, the setting of my ACA emphasizes the diamond and I don''t want to change it. The setting of this diamond should be larger and more "rustic".

Other ideas?

I only think that the ACA looks so great alone.
The 1.26 surely will be great as a solitaire too.
But if you find a setting for 2 very different diamonds (size and color), it will be very kind to post it here.
I saw a lot of H&A''s in Paul''s office, but the 1.26 was ***drool***.
I guess it''s the same when you go to buy a dog, it''s not always the most expensive dog that receives your love...

stephan you''ll wear a ring but not an earring?! silly boy!!!

i love it, and those other M/N stones are tempting too. too bad there is no N SI or something or else I''d be tempted for a pendant!

I''m sorry Mara, but I don''t want a hole in my ear!
And I would always go to the restroom to look at my ear in the mirror...

There''s a bunch of stuff on my HD. Picking at random, this came up first... about as ''rustic'' as a villa in the Compagna though

And some rings, more literally rough:

The first collection you posted is really great, Valeria, I saved o copy of the pictures.
But as I''m a ritual diamond cleaner, I''ll have to find something with prongs...

Do you any piece set in a bezel? I don't find them hard to clean, but then... I am allergic to prongs - too girlie for me.

I had two diamond rings bezel set, for me it doesn't show the beauty of a diamond 100%.
When I changed the settings, all my friends found it better, some even asked me if I bought new diamonds...

I really don't like bezels:

- The bezel hides a part of the diamond.
- The bezel-set diamond looses some life and beauty.
- You can't clean the pavilion from above with a brush.

But I respect those who prefer them.

Ooops, 3AM, have to brush something else before going to sleep now!

Thanks Valeria, I'll be back tomorrow!

It''s a fabulous looking diamond but I''ve very surprised at the price for an N colored diamond. Maybe I just haven''t searched prices lately.

I did some comparison with dirtcheapdiamonds, and Wink's price doesn't seem that high, remember that this diamond is branded.

You like the H&A story, don't you ?. Well, who doesn't.

The though of finding other N/VS or better AGS0 sounded so improbably, that I had to see for myself! DCD doesn't have any on the list, but there are 3 or four among the listings here. Two VS or higher.

Anyway, here's what I am talking about:

1.4 cts N/VS1 and 1.45 N/VVS2 with those finish grades I wonder if the 'AGS0' note in the listing refers to the light return rating on the new paper, or nothing at all. Sure enough: No Venus, No Infinity
38.gif
And I wouldn't be caught calling that sort of size difference a big deal either.

Since neither is listed by DCD at all, 'thought I'd mention.

Great information Valeria, thank you !
The point is that I saw the 1.26, and that I love it.
It was the one of Paul''s collection that I prefered, and not only because it was cheaper than whiter diamonds, it had something magical (perhaps the fluorescence?).

Yep I saw that diamond a while ago too! There is a O-IF on GOG that I wish I can see. I''ve never seen an ideal cut "warmer" stone before so I''m really curious!

Hey, little diamond, do you remember the country where you were cut?
And the nice Belgian weather?
Are you homesick?

OK, come back, I adopt you.
I already sent a mail to Wink.

Where have you been hiding Stephan???? You''re a hoot
35.gif
!!

Just wanted to say hi from one habitual diamond cleaning guy to another!! And BTW........I do have a pierced ear and yes, I sport a small diamond in it, but your comment about having to look at yourself in the mirror all the time if you had a diamond in your ear cracked me up.

Actually, I plan to contact one of the PS vendors in the near future to see if they will sell single diamond studs to guys who only have one pierced ear. I bought my earring before I knew anything about diamonds and mine is basically your typical "frozen spit" quality stone.

Anyway, had to welcome you Stephan!
