Sterling Silver Tarnish Remover

I use the homemade solution——-aluminum foil/baking soda, salt, boiling water to remove tarnish on sterling silver.
Sometimes it works great, other times not so good.
Anyone have a different method to remove the tarnish completely?

That's what I do too. One time I bought an off-brand (read cheap) tinfoil and it did not work as well as Reynolds Wrap.

Goodness, I thought you actually had to polish it. I'm following this thread for sure!

You doo need lots of tinfoil and let it cool right down for the full electrolytic effect

Supermarkets sell purpose made cloths with mild abrasives to do the job better

Wrights silver polish works great. I go through a large jar every month. Polishing silver is very therapeutic for me. (Did I say that out loud? )

That's what I use. But mine lasts forever.......

I would think it's more interesting than my grounding/therapeutic practice of pulling weeds!

Added benefit to pulling weeds is I usually get a little sunshine while I'm out there which is supposed to be good for
increasing serotonin levels!
