sterling silver band next to platinum?

Hey all, I'm back after eons. Quick question -- after years of getting older, I've also gotten much heavier. So have my fingers. My platinum wedding set is too small now, and most days I can't get them on my finger. Can't be resized up enough to fit (I checked with the designer who made them) so I'm in a pickle.

I thought that I could wear them on my pinky finger, but they're too big, so would wearing a small, thin, sterling silver band to keep the set from sliding off damage my set? Does sterling silver eat platinum?

There was a thread about "what metal eats what metal" from years ago, and I just did a search, but there were no answers for this particular combo.

For you oldsters, you might remember my Alishan Gothic I set (it's square). It's the set I shared on this post: https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/alishan-gothic-i-rings-glamour-shots.78340/

Any help welcome! Thanks, PS family!

Generally Platinum is a metal that doesn't reach with much at all, so there shouldn't be a problem doing that.

The silver will tarnish, so just keep it nice and clean and you should be good to go.
