Today Natasha Cupcake and I set out to one of my fave antique places down by the shore in CT. Disclosure, I thought I took more pictures but this will be an ongoing thread as we travel CT for vintage finds

Perfume bottles, check out Cinderella's carriage!

A really pretty floral beaded bag, the beads look like Lily of the Valley.

@StephanieLynn, @natasha-cupcake ----Oh you girls! Out painting the town!
I'm glad you two hooked up and had fun. And Pancakes!
When I go out to all the vintage shops, I get a headache from looking in the cases and trying to read all the itty-bitty tags!

Great finds! Did anyone try the Strawberry shortcake pancake? Paradise!

@PreRaphaelite I had a western omelet but next time definitely getting the pancakes. Natasha has this amazing peach croissant French toast...amazing!

I really wish I had taken more pictures, there were cases and cases of jewelry and all kinds of goodies. Next time I'll have to purge all my bling pictures before heading out!

I realized that I didn't take any pictures. What a dope! Next time, I'll be sure to do so. We did see a lot of cool stuff. I was too mesmerized to remember that I have a duty to post pictures!

That would be my idea of a perfect day! I spent some time at a country antique mall with my daughter yesterday. Every time we go I see different things, so fun.

Love the posts and pics=makes me feel I am shopping with you and picking out my faves!

@StephanieLynn, do they really make witch hazel here?

@stracci2000, I looked into this and the family's farm is in Fairfield county but we were in a different county so I'm not really sure why this sign was here

Checked out a new place today sadly minus my partner in crime. However this time I got lots of pictures to share. The spot is called Miss Dallas' Shop located in Milford CT, 4,000 square feet of goodies to explore.

Here is the front of the store:

Looks like fun!
I love to go into places like this.
My favorites:
The wooden purse, the screen cleaner, opera glasses, and the Japanese black lacquer piano jewelry box.
The pins and frog are lucky to go home with you!

It was fun although I prefer places that are a little grittier because let's face it, those are the places you find the deals. However the owners were super nice to my kids which you never know how you will be perceived with a 12 year old and 5 year old in tow.

Those Fenton lamps are I believe very rare, from limited research it appears they are cobalt student lamps in the Serene Winter pattern.

and I are in talks for another joint adventure soon! In the meantime I spotted this place on the way to one of our favorite antique centers. I blocked out the name and address because they obviously have ALOT of jewelry so for security sake we will them Shoreline Gold and Coin.

Another installment of Steph and Natasha's Antique Adventures! These pictures are from our get-together that happened a little over a week ago. We met up and hit an antiques mall in Stratford, CT (after a delicious breakfast, of course!). This place did not have a ton of jewelry, but there were plenty of other items to pique our curiosity. Here's a few jewelry shots. I really loved the colors in the pink and green earrings below. I'm a sucker for any ribbon bow shaped jewelry, as well, so I thought the bow pin was adorable.

Some rings--a mix of gold and silver with various semi-precious and synthetic stones:Vintage Rings.JPG

Here's a funky little Bakelite purse.

I loved this little old man in porcelain.

This is a tin tray with a picture on it that I called "The Emerald Girl"

A few more treasures...

This was a little tree with some beautiful solid glass pears.

Onion light sconces.

I love vintage kitchen tins. These were from the 1940's, I think.

And some refrigerator glass storage boxes.
Vintage Refrigerator Dishes.JPG

I loved this vintage robot.
Vintage Robot Toys.JPG

And a vintage Juke box toy.

And the one thing that almost came home with me. I fell in love with it and was actually going to crack my wallet open (I'm a cheapskate at heart). I took measurements and texted them home to my husband, then continued browsing while I waited to hear from him. About ten minutes later, I saw two of the workers wrap this up and wheel it out for someone else. Aaaarrrggghhh!!

The Curio Cabinet That Got Away.JPG

How fun!! I wish the antique stores by me had that much jewelry

I was so sad watching the cabinet get wheeled out. Hundreds upon hundreds of items in that building and THAT is what sells while we are there :eh:
